I thought about sending this video to a couple of lifelong Labour supporters I know, and then didn’t. Why? Because I knew the reaction I’d get: “Businessmen, all they do is moan and fiddle their taxes and pay their staff badly. They’ve all got nice cars and big houses. I don’t feel sorry for them. We should tax them more.” Labour is playing to their crowd, and because the Right is hopelessly divided they’ll win the next election.
Utterly heartbreaking. A must watch.

Now that I've successfully shamed Jon Ronson off X, it falls to @louistheroux and @DAaronovitch to explain why they continue to look the other way while men like this sexually humiliate female students and colleagues.
I'm legit struggling with this. Yes the trans stuff is batshit. But this lecturer at Oxford uni, regularly posts this shit on LinkedIn and his colleagues tell him how great he is. He's wearing MASSIVE LATEX TITS. How have we got to this? I feel like I am losing my mind here 🥴

Don’t bank with @firstdirect 👇
Called up @firstdirect to make sure the funds were available at the bank to draw out 2.5K They were not happy, wanted to know what it was for. Told them a gift for my daughter for her holiday. They asked where she was going, I told the non of their business. They have refused.

Continually jacking up national wage floors has consequences. When moronic MPs cheer a higher minimum wage simply because it sounds nice, you just know that they simply don’t have the cognitive capacity to imagine the second order effects.
Utterly heartbreaking. A must watch.

Brilliant questioning here from @NazShahBfd of Professor Ilias Trispiotis: she forces him to concede that - yes, ordinary parental conversations with their children will fall under the scope of this Bill and they will be criminalised
So Stonewall want a registry of Stonewall-approved therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists to be set up? What could possibly go wrong? Stephen Kiely from Stonewall is giving *very* strong Matthew Hopkins “Witchfinder General” vibes

Stonewall want parents locked up if they don’t want their child to castrate themselves - many of whom will grow up gay. It’s rare to hear from Stonewall in a public forum - sunlight is the best form of disinfectant. As a gay man they make me sick - they are pure evil.

"Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party?" asks Bridget Phillipson. "Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence." Right. Same question back. Who is bankrolling Labour, and the machine around it? Gary Lubner. South African. Former Autoglass chief. Millions. Lord Alli. Buys the clothes, lends the flat. George Soros. Money into Best for Britain and Fair Vote, routed through a London outpost, which is how a foreign fortune gets round a ban on foreign donations. Pierre Omidyar. French-Iranian, eBay founder, funding the campaign groups. Bill Gates. In for the photo call. Swedish philanthropists. Bloomberg. And Verbatim, which made the Channel 4 sting she is riding, is itself funded from abroad. So the watchdog on foreign money is on foreign money. And those are off the top of my head. No research. Give me an afternoon and the list fills a page. So the party promising to protect democracy from foreign influence is up to its neck in it, legally, through the same door, and has proposed no cap that would inconvenience a single person in the room. They held a drinks party for them in Downing Street. The question is not who is bankrolling Farage. It is why Labour thinks the answer changes depending on whose name is on the cheque. "Protect our democracy from foreign influence." They would not know where to start.
Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party? What interests are they seeking to advance? Are they acting in Britain's best interests? Reform UK are engulfed in sleaze and scandal. Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

This is beyond ridiculous. £1 BILLION to build. Plus £1 million EVERY YEAR to guard it. That's over £2,700 every day… For a railway with ZERO passengers. The new Oxford–Milton Keynes line was finished in December 2024. Nearly TWO YEARS later, not one passenger train has run on it. Just security guards at Winslow’s brand-new station. We were PROMISED trains a year ago. Instead, YOU pay for it to be empty. This is a SCANDAL. Do you agree?
This is decline. Britain used to build over 200 miles of rail every year. Trains ran as soon as the tracks were finished. We finished building the Oxford-Milton Keynes railway in December 2024. Almost TWO years ago… So how are services getting on? Well, they aren’t. That’s right. The line is built. The stations are built. But a union dispute has blocked all passenger services. You paid over £1 BILLION to build this line. Passenger services were due to START a year ago. We invented the steam train. We can do so much better. What do you think?

I’ve now been contacted by numerous people about the ‘Boob Man of Oxford’. Those who work or study at Oxford have asked for anonymity, so I can’t share identifying details. But some common themes have emerged: - Unsurprisingly, women describe feeling uncomfortable about a male lecturer wearing what appear to be oversized prosthetic breasts in their place of work or study - Some question whether there is a sexual element or whether it is a ‘power play’. These are their concerns, rather than established explanations for his behaviour - but are legitimate concerns nonetheless - They say they’re afraid to raise concerns because he is surrounded by ‘allies’, including staff, who defend his appearance as 'self-expression' One source has even wondered whether this is an elaborate stunt to embarrass the university - along the lines of Josh Seiter, who pretended to be a trans woman as an 'experiment'. Another source says this has been going on for three years - which does seem a long time to keep up the act. There is interest in covering this in the mainstream press. What would help now is more documentary evidence: complaint letters, responses or correspondence showing how concerns have been handled. My inbox is open: [email protected]. Happy to have a confidential chat about any aspect of this. All messages treated in confidence.

I want you all to know this. There are 650 MPs in Parliament. Yet the one MP chosen by @UKLabour to Chair the Bill Committee for the controversial, dangerous and dismally bad draft legislation, the Conversion Practices Bill, is Alex Barros-Curtis. Until July 2024, when Alex was given a very safe Labour seat in Cardiff, he was the Head of the Labour Party's Governance and Legal Unit in London. This was a department set up to investigate complaints against members of the Labour Party. Complaints of antisemitism, Islamophobia, abuse, and of course latterly, mostly women holding legally-protected 'Gender Critical' (sex realist) beliefs. Alex oversaw the investigation of hundreds of members who liked or tweeted gender critical or feminist views. I was one of them. He investigated me, as a sitting Labour MP, for 13 months. 13 months to 'investigate' one like of one tweet. I had a great lawyer, one of the names we're all now familiar with, and I had to crowdfund to pay for his (excellent) work. They first tried in 2020. But the screenshots crudely attached to that passive aggressive, threatening-sounding email from LP admin staff were so risible that I replied that it was too ridiculous for me to waste my precious time on. They left it. Years of Starmer bumbling and stuttering through interviews about whether he had spoken to me, whether he supported me, etc followed. My feminist sins continued apace. And then I 'liked' a tweet by my GC comedian friend @Glinner. He had mocked Eddie'Suzy' for comparing his choice to wear traditional women's clothing, fake plastic breasts and nails, to those being persecuted by the Nazis during WWII. I found his sarcasm, as a award-winning comedy writer in the face of such offensive narcissism amusing and so 'liked' it. I found it absurd and obscene that Izzard, an extremely privileged and wealthy man, who openly changed his 'gender' at will, should write himself into history falseley as someone who would have been oppressed due to a circumstance beyond his control. We all know the groups who were tortured, starved and killed... There is obviously more to my story, I will tell it all, it's just one chapter of the years of spiteful abusive and bullying practices meted out to me by the Labour Party managers. Not those who'd achieved office on merit, or even unexpectedly, but those in the club, often having failed to be elected themselves. So Barros-Curtis who we were repeatedly told led 'the many *independent* inquiries into women members and MPs like me, now often stands as a trans-rights activist on the Labour backbenches. He has also been gifted the role of Chair of this Committee and is a huge supporter of this Bill. And I am not a part of the Bill Committee, although plenty of TRA MPs are. Does that sound like the democratic scrutiny of legislation to you?

Astounding claim from this EU bubble journalist who believes it is EU’s “democratic values” that attracts Canada to it. EU’s democratic deficit is infamous. Von der Leyen governs the EU executive for 7 years already, without anyone voting for her. She passed suicidal environnemental policies during her first term that are decimating Europe’s competitiveness. Her disastrous diplomatic record means war and bankruptcy now plagues many European nations. When the voters responded accordingly and chose politicians critical of her reign in the 2024 EU elections, her political and media allies in Brussels tried to immediately place many of these politicians outside a “sanitary cordon”, entrenching the deeply undemocratic notion that some representatives of the people were somehow “unclean” and should therefore never be engaged with, despite them receiving millions of votes from EU citizens! I could go on, but my point is hopefully made. The EU is so very far from being a healthy democracy, and media propaganda attempting to hide this dire situation does the EU no favours. The project will collapse if this isn’t addressed soon.
Wearing all black today because they killed “associate membership”. My take on the EU-Canada summit.

Labour may have removed hereditary peers from the House of Lords, but the party has its own dynasties. This government has a Kinnock, a Falconer, a Miliband and a Reeves, all representatives of famous political families. But the minister with perhaps the most intriguing ideological ancestry is the Energy Secretary, Miatta Fahnbulleh. No one denies that Fahnbulleh is an intellectually formidable operator in her own right. With a PPE degree from Lincoln College, Oxford, she speaks with a poised confidence. She has described herself as a Liberian 'refugee' and the inference many will draw is that she is a child of poverty, not privilege. But Fahnbulleh was educated privately at Beechwood Sacred Heart School in Tunbridge Wells, where fees to board are now more than £40,000 a year. ✍️ John Power Article | spectator.com/article/the-re…
