September ’26 numbers are in 📈 ⬆️ Revenue: +3.0% ⬆️ Orders: +2.9% ⬆️ Net AOV: +0.1% After a flat August, September steadied — and it steadied in the way I wanted. Revenue and orders grew almost exactly in step, while AOV held essentially flat for the first time in six months. We're still deliberately building around smaller, more accessible orders. The goal isn't to push AOV back up at the expense of order frequency. September wasn't without its headwinds. Rain and waterlogging disrupted Delhi-NCR at different points in the month, while traffic restrictions and the festive calendar added some volatility. But underneath that, the business held. Still a long way from where this needs to be. But the direction is right. Grateful to our customers, team, delivery partners and suppliers. Onward. One month at a time. 🙏 #BuildingInPublic #BTS #TadkaRani #MealComboBoxCo #WorldInABox #KhaKeDekho #BadiyaHai
August ’26 numbers are in 📈 Not every month is going to be a record month. ⬇️ Revenue: -4.8% ⬆️ Orders: +2.0% ⬇️ Net AOV: -6.7% August came with some very real headwinds. Sawan changed eating-out and ordering patterns for a good part of the month. Then the rains hit — heavily in the first week and again towards the end of the month — disrupting deliveries across Delhi & Gurgaon. Revenue softened. But orders still grew. And there was an interesting signal underneath the numbers: our highest OPH days came on Sunday, 23 August and Sunday, 30 August — right as Sawan was easing out. That gives me a lot of confidence in the underlying demand. We've also continued deliberately pushing smaller, more accessible orders, so the AOV coming down is part of the strategy. What matters to us is whether more people are choosing to order. August reminded us that not every month is about breaking records. Sometimes it's about staying resilient, watching the signals underneath the headline numbers, and learning. Grateful to our customers, team, delivery partners and suppliers for keeping things moving. Back at it. One month at a time. 🙏 #BuildingInPublic #BTS #TadkaRani #MealComboBoxCo #WorldInABox #KhaKeDekho #BadiyaHai

That's how the creator ecosystem works for Apple. While the company has acknowledged the issue, this "tech reviewer" is gaslighting genuine customers. Such commentary also allows the company to get away with what would be major kerfuffle elsewhere.

CCPA fined Shangri-La Eros Rs 1 lakh for adding a 10% service charge by default. "Optional" on the menu didn't help because guests had to ask to remove it. Opt-in vs opt-out is the whole point. Consent has to be active.

The wonderful junior engineers at @airtelindia have managed to trigger panic buttons at quite a few of our client’s end. What a masterclass in irresponsible communication. 🤡 They sent an Mail notification that scared customers into frantically calling us. Apparently, CERT-In informed Airtel that a device was infected. Airtel didn’t detect the infection; they’re merely relaying an alert. Yet the message says, “your device is infected.” Which device, exactly? In an age where everyone owns multiple devices, and offices have hundreds, how is a customer supposed to know what’s supposedly infected? No device details. No IP address. No hostname. No evidence. Just a malware scare. Security alerts need actionable intelligence, not vague messages that cause panic. What say, @AniR0y @DaryllSwer?

I love dashboards. Every TV across our offices displays vital information, and over the years, we’ve experimented with plenty of self-hosted solutions, including Raspberry Pi's showing this. But this particular implementation gets it just right: beautiful, minimal, fast-updating, and everything important at a glance. No clutter, no unnecessary noise. Just the information that matters, presented really well. And for those wondering where all the apps are — they appear when you click on the remote. Until then, it’s all dashboards. Clean, simple, and functional. 👌 Thank you @claudeai

Shiprocket entering direct food ordering is interesting. But having an ordering link is not the same as having repeat customers. The real test: will people come back without another discount?

Mumbai, we’re so sorry! Looks like Punjab’s stubble smoke took a wrong turn this year and ended up at your doorstep instead of Delhi. GPS malfunction, perhaps! ☺️

India Needs Hundreds of Healthcare Leaders Like Dr. @shuchinbajaj 🇮🇳 Before the year ends, I am making it a point to catch up on long-pending meetings with people I admire and, more importantly, want to learn from. People who didn’t just choose a different path. They created a path where none existed. My long-overdue lunch with Dr. Shuchin Bajaj, Founder of @Ujalacygnus , was one such inspiring meeting. As a clinician, Shuchin had a bigger dream. He wanted to impact far more lives than he could by treating patients individually. He asked a powerful question: Why should people travel to big cities for quality healthcare? Why can’t quality healthcare reach people in the very towns where they live? And he didn’t stop at asking questions. He built a business around the answers. Today, Ujala Cygnus stands as a testament to his vision, conviction and entrepreneurial courage. What I admire most is how Shuchin combines the compassion of a doctor, the ambition of an entrepreneur and the determination of a changemaker. 👏 Our conversation reinforced something I deeply believe: Healthcare disruption isn’t just about technology. It’s about challenging conventional wisdom and reimagining every part of the healthcare value chain. Shuchin’s journey carries a powerful lesson for every aspiring entrepreneur: Have a vision? Go for it. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Don’t wait for permission. Don’t wait for someone else to create the future you believe in. India needs hundreds of leaders like Shuchin Bajaj—people who see problems as opportunities to transform millions of lives. The future doesn’t belong to those who follow a path. It belongs to those who dare to create one. Take a bow, Dr. Shuchin Bajaj! 🙇‍♂️ #ShuchinBajaj #UjalaCygnus #HealthcareLeadership #HealthcareInnovation #HealthcareEntrepreneurship #FutureOfHealthcare #HealthcareForAll #HealthcareTransformation #Leadership #India @HealthParliamnt @DigitalHSummit @DigitalHLTHEdu @Ujalacygnus

I’ve been exploring regional Indian cuisines lately, experimenting with flavours, textures, cooking techniques, and the fascinating way the same spices can transform a dish depending on their proportions and when they’re introduced during cooking. Tonight’s dinner was Machher Kalia, made with sole instead of the more traditional fish. It’s fascinating how much difference a little tweaking of ingredients and technique can make to the final dish. This recipe was suggested by Umami, the AI platform at @gliscokitchens, built for recipe generation and adoption. But the real win of the evening? Dad had fish curry for the first time and actually liked it enough to ask for seconds. And if you know him, you’ll know that going back for seconds is practically against his personal constitution. 😂 Maybe AI can help us discover new recipes, but getting Dad to ask for seconds? Now that’s a real endorsement.

CNN-News18 deleted a video in which a journalist came to Punjab to question farmers about “wheat stubble burning” during the rice harvesting season. They couldn’t even identify the crop season correctly, yet were lecturing farmers on pollution. At the very least, learn the basics of farming and crop cycles before coming to Punjab to question the people who actually grow the food! @CNNnews18

You don't need AI to tell you these were written by the same person, bhai ko kya fayeda hua is-se woh hi jaane. 2 Orders at the same time by 2 roommates, same delivery address, bunched order by aggregator, both get the food, and then file a review of 1* in the same language

Can AI invent the next Butter Chicken? Inspired by Dr. @gansbags and his work on computational gastronomy, I explore this question in my latest Masaledar post. AI can analyse, find patterns and help us think in new directions. But can it invent a dish we've never tasted before? At @GliscoKitchens, we're exploring that question through Umami, our in-house food intelligence tool. That's the rabbit hole I'm exploring these days. masaledar.substack.com/p/can…
