Rams DC Chris Shula is now the betting favorite to become the next Giants head coach, according to Polymarket. Let’s take a quick look at the current scheme he's been running and how he’d maximize this current Giants pass rush.
Shula’s been running a 3-3-5 / Tite front that leans a lot on disguise, movement, and post-snap shifts instead of static shell looks.
His fronts are very “Penny” heavy, meaning five men on the line, think how shula turned rookie Kobie Turner into a monster in that 0-tech role, and got him 9 sacks by forcing the Center/Guard to squeeze inside.… now imagine Dex doing the same thing but he’s… Dexter Lawrence…. You put Dex at 0-technique to where he’s still gonna get the double team, and suddenly Burns and Kayvon are isolated in Wide-9 alignments with all the leverage and 0 traffic.
And then there’s Abdul Carter, who has been clearly misused under former Giants DC Shane Bowen.
Shane Bowen fully wasted him as a static DE. Shula would use him more like a Joker. Shula loves creeper pressures, meaning, showing 6 rushers, sending 4. He’d mug Carter in the A-gap to force a check, then drop him into the "rat" hole while a slot corner flies in untouched off the edge. Main point being that it breaks the QB's hot reads because the pressure never comes from where the protection slides.
He's basically been running this very modern, tendency-based instead of just matching personnel scheme for years, and is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
Should the Giants pull the trigger on Chris Shula?

This will be in textbooks.
Ukraine secretly delivered FPV drones and wooden mobile cabins into Russia. The drones were hidden under the roofs of the cabins, which were later mounted on trucks.
At the signal, the roofs opened remotely. Dozens of drones launched directly from the trucks, striking strategic bomber aircraft.
And — Russia can’t produce these bombers anymore. The loss is massive.
Nothing like this has ever been done before.

Sanders comp is Cousins/Dalton.
High floor, low ceiling. Solid mechanics; has good qualities but not elite.
Cousins was a 4th round pick.
Dalton was a 2nd round pick.
@Giants cannot waste the #3 overall pick on a mid QB instead of a generational talent.
