The danger of "sharia law" in the US is zero. The danger of Christian nationalist zealots like Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton destroying the country the invented the separation of church and state so that they can impose their blinkered version of Christianity on us all is sky high.

If you want to know why Americans from all sides of the political spectrum must push back on data centers, look no further than what Google just did to Finland. Google skipped required environmental assessments and illegally clear-cut 815 acres of pristine forest. Over 250,000 mature old growth trees were cut down. Habitats destroyed. Wildlife run out of the area, and into nearby villages searching for food. Worst of all, because the entire operation was illegal, the wood from the site cannot be sold or processed. So 800 acres of old growth forests destroyed needlessly in just months, for one Google data center. Donald Trump criticized Google for the project, not because of its destruction, but because he wanted the data center built here in America. This is the future of our beautiful forests, national parks, and public lands in rural communities all across America, if we allow this administration to continue with this lawless destruction. VOTE. 🗳️

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red. Let’s break that down. Can Nicki Minaj vote? No. She’s not a U.S. citizen. Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender. Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault. She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

Imagine being a CEO of an US energy company and thinking that you work with close associates of the Trump family, only to find out that behind them is a sanctioned Russian company, really pulling the strings. This happened in Alaska. Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, stepped down after finding out that the Russian "Novatek" company, which is under US sanctions, has been involved in a $25 billion energy project in Alaska. The CEO thought that he was working with Gentry Beach, a close friend of Donald Trump Junior. Reportedly, that project was also discussed between Witkoff and Jared Kushner when they were with Putin. The White House admitted that the project was talked about "briefly". We are witnessing the greatest corruption scandal the USA has ever witnessed. It all leads to Trump, his family and the Russians, and apparently they were even ready to sell riches of Alaska to the Russians. The people in Alaska just need to look over to Russia, where the richest regions in terms of minerals and hydrocarbon resources have been stripped-mined, transferring all the wealth to Moscow and Saint Petersburg and leaving a scarred landscape in extreme poverty. That is the result of rampant corruption. We are starting to see more details why Trump and his friends are trying so strongly to bully Ukraine into surrender. This is most certainly only the tip of the iceberg.

A pastor in Kentucky was arrested and charged with 4 counts of producing obscene depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, 4 counts of receiving child sex abuse material, and 1 count of possession of CSAM. Jared Salmons, 46, was also the general manager of the Knott County Water and Sewer District. As both a pastor and high-ranking public official, he held multiple positions of authority. What the hell is going on in Kentucky?

Trump and Republicans are selling out Alaska to Russia.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska. According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary. Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine. The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives. The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia. According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate. The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing. The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company. Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

Hmmm... im guessing this is why trump preemptively said he's going to sue Alaska if republicans lose the midterm election.

A new study shows that water testing labs in the US are treating trace amounts of forever chemicals (PFAS) as "zero" in the statistical averages just because they fall below official detection limits. This manipulation in the data makes PFAS averages in the US look much less than they actually are, which gives the public a false sense of security. The study estimates that the recorded data captures less than half (44%) of the actual average PFAS levels. So basically, average concentrations nationwide of PFAS in the water might be DOUBLE what standard reports suggest. This is insane and unacceptable. These chemicals build up in the body over time, so even trace amounts can be linked to serious health problems like higher risks of certain cancers, immune system issues, high blood pressure during pregnancy, and developmental delays in children. Rounding the pollution down to zero hides hidden health risks and delays necessary water treatment. When a water quality report says "Not Detected," people naturally assume it means safe, but it just means the amount was below what standard lab tools were set up to measure. This was a study done by researchers at Texas Christian University and they analyzed over 1.86 million water sample records. If public health officials and water agencies assume average levels are much lower than they actually are, they could delay installing better filtration infrastructure or expanding testing, which risks the health of millions of people. We need to demand independent & accurate public monitoring, require polluters to finance PFAS cleanup, and guarantee safe water as a public good.

As I get closer to losing my home, I reached out to my mortgage company about options. They can't do anything for me financially. And attempting to be proactive does nothing to stop lack of payment from severly damaging my credit. Houses aren't selling & I can't afford any of these rent prices, anyway. I will have no where to go. Credit cards are filling up. I've done everything right my entire life. I've always played it safe. I didn't do anything wrong. Yet thanks to AI - career ruined, I can't find new work - I will lose everything. I will fall into the type of debt that will be impossible to crawl out of. I needed help. I needed this to stop. I needed a lifetime of playing by the rules to mean something and it turns out it means nothing at all. Really just wishing for death at this point.

The cop who shot and killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley at a Walmart in Mississippi has resigned. State prosecturors declined to press charges against Hunter Foster and said the shooting was justified. Kohen Wiley's family is calling for a federal investigation. Despite resigning from the Senatobia Police Department, Foster is still certified as a law enforcement officer in the state. A cop who's responsible for the death of a child can just legally walk away and be hired by another department like nothing ever happened.
