Somebody believed in a homeless kid once. That kid was me. Ariana Rodriguez went from foster care to homelessness as a teenager, and then to the Miss America stage. I’ve heard a lot of speeches. This one stuck.

When you’ve got guys from Chicago and Kenny Loggins on stage, you don’t sit in the crowd. You grab the mic! Thanks to The Players, and to everyone who joined us at the Jeff Ruby Foundation 3rd Annual Golf Classic. Every dollar we raised goes to kids who need someone in their corner.

A truly memorable evening in support of the Jeff Ruby Foundation's mission. For more than 40 years, @theleegreenwood and I have shown up for each other. At the Foundation's 3rd Annual Golf Classic, Lee showed up for the families we serve, giving a memorable performance of "God Bless the USA" with the former rhythm section of legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Chicago- Keith, Jeff, and Lou. To Lee, Kim, and to everyone who came out to stand with vulnerable youth in our communities: thank you.

I know what it's like to start with nothing. That's why this day is meaningful to our family. To every golfer, sponsor, and volunteer at the 3rd Annual Golf Classic: you give vulnerable youth a fighting chance. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
