Virtual Reality (VR) Labs have been introduced in four Demonstration Multipurpose Schools at RIEs Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, and Mysore, marking a transformative step in line with the vision of NEP 2020 to integrate technology for enriching learning experiences. With advanced VR headsets and NCERT’s curriculum-based content in science, mathematics, and social sciences, these labs will bring subjects to life, enable interactive engagement, deepen conceptual understanding, and nurture 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving, paving the way for immersive and future-ready education. The initiative was launched by Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Govt. of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on 1st September during NCERT’s 65th Foundation Day celebrations.
