I received an email from John Graham-Cumming telling me my code was in the original Terminator movie. And it's true! Here's the still from the movie:

If you choose "Auto" model in Visual Studio Copilot (not VS Code), you'll get an error every time. If you explicitly choose a model, it works. Many people have reported this. The problem is you get a 10% discount if you let MS pick the model, and this discount isn't available because of this bug. They should issue a refund or credit. @MSFTCopilot @VisualStudio

Windows introduced touch screen support in 2003. Most new Windows laptops--inculding the Asus Zenbook Windowss 11 Arm machine I'm using right now have it. (The Asus also has an OLED screen.) It took Apple 23 years after Microsoft figured it out to develop an OS powerful enough to support a touch screen.

#NowSpinning Bruch’s Second Violin Concerto, a work I do not know. Fortunately Perlman seems to know it rather well! How interesting to hear it’s first movement almost pick up where the First left off. A bit of recycling isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

A filter that flew to the moon Rudolf Kálmán's 1960 filter was met with scepticism, until Stanley Schmidt at NASA Ames saw how to use it for navigation. An extended version guided Apollo to the Moon.

It's been 12 years since I last updated Quick Resizer, a Mac App that... quickly resizes images. I built it because I hated waiting 10s or so to launch Photoshop just to scale an image for my blog. I let Claude fix 3 bugs and port it to Swift (under my guidance), and it's now hit 2.0, and works better than it ever did before (and waaaay faster on modern Apple Silicon). Plus it still runs on Intel, at least macOS 13+! It's still $0.99 as it always was: apps.apple.com/us/app/quick-… And now I can again stop launching Photoshop's monstrous husk of an app just to scale down photos for my blog.
