these blocks are mostly accidental and a result of difficult decision boundaries; there is no prohibition against reverse engineering with codex. it's getting fixed

Eww lol... I wipe down my keyboard every other day. Ain't no way!
Beta Flashback #2: Payo drops a piece of his banana right onto his keyboard on October 9, then swears to chat "it barely touched my keyboard". One look at that keyboard and we would have thrown it straight in the trash 🍌

I'll take $4.20 nobody ever sent me Xmoney before, I'm saving my original free $15 still
Do not quote retweet this or I will be forced to give people $42.0 or $420! This is not engagement farming, it’s 1am and I’m bored AF and we all deserve a 420 break! Do not quote retweet or you might get smashed with X Money

Was a helluva run
I’ve left Anthropic after more than a year of working on Claude Code and seeing it scale larger than I ever imagined. I have really loved working at Ant and believe deeply in the mission, and most of all, the idea of a race to the top. The idea that if we work hard and responsibly, we can raise the bar and inspire others to great outcomes. And if we all push each other to be better, things can be radically good. I will carry the spirit of this with me forever. My colleagues at Anthropic are the most talented, thoughtful, competent, and earnest people I have ever met. I am glad they are at the wheel and trust them deeply. To the community on X, thank you for everything. You’ve made this the most fun (and sometimes stressful) job I’ve ever had. For me, it is time for a bit of a break before diving into something new. If you want more excellent Claude Code content, you should follow @addyosmani , @lydiahallie, @_catwu, @ClaudeDevs and of course @bcherny who started it all.

I feel like the people who used to say AI would always suck have now turned into AI doomers. Either way, they’ll find a reason to hate it.

Sam Altman says OpenAI's current best internal model is too powerful to release openly any time soon. Before that could happen, the whole cyber defense setup of the internet would need to change and the world would need a new layer of protection against biological threats. ---- Full video on "Stanford Graduate School of Business" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

Using Pascal in our Construction Business across 10 Teams for scanning - The best part its free, better than available apps like bosch, and you can use the scan even in your sales process and project materials etc in the room, flat, houses. 10/10

Tailscale is based on open source Wireguard, you can ask your clanker to set that up too and then you're not dependent on a company

Maybe important to repost this now that everyone is getting hacked If you have a VPS, I recommend you to get if off the public internet and into a Tailscale network and Cloudflare Tunnel ASAP It doesn't matter you have SSH key login, this is about exploits and vulnerabilities AI is finding There's 2 ways into a VPS: - via your site/app (like the PHP exploit of this week with a file upload hack) - via your server (like hacking into SSH or some open port) The site/app side you put on a Cloudflare Tunnel and then with the default Free Plan it has WAF security enabled by default and they jump on new security exploits fast, it means that the only way to reach your website is via the Cloudflare Tunnel, your server does not respond to port 80 or 443 anymore The server side you put on a Tailscale network which is like your own private network that nobody can access but your own devices (like your laptop, your phone and your VPS) kinda like a VPN Then you switch off ANY regular access to your VPS on the firewall, in my case I use Hetzner and you create a new firewall then empty it and that blocks everything (test it) How do Tailscale and Cloudflare Tunnel get in then? They don't. They go outbound. They make a tunnel to outside which sends and receives Now you've reduced your attack vector to Tailscale and your Cloudflare Tunnel, much safer, not perfect btw, but nothing is
When I set up a new Hetzner VPS first thing I do install Tailscale and once I'm in via Tailscale lock down the firewall to only accept web traffic on HTTPS 443 for Cloudflare IPs and SSH 22 for Tailscale IP That way nobody can get in I know I keep repeating this but it should be basics of setting up a new VPS So basic IMHO it should be part of any VPS service to default install Tailscale and enable it so it's the only way to get in Why? A VPS server is just like your laptop or destop computer but now imagine if it's connected to the entire internet with 8 billion people that can access it and try hack it You want to only have it accessible to you And if you want to host a website on your VPS (like I do), you should only let Cloudflare access your VPS so it can stand in front and block any hack attempts Never expose a VPS to the world wide web which realistically is the world WILD web

Linus Torvalds used Claude again to remove years-old, slow and insecure Linux kernel code. The cleanup is now merged into Linux 7.4 and spans 48 commits. It targets __get_user() and __put_user(), old memory-access helpers that skip user-address checks. Linus says their historical performance advantage disappeared years ago. He wrote the initial example patch, then used Claude to help apply the same changes elsewhere. The old calls are gone from generic kernel code, with the interfaces fully removed on x86. Other architectures still retain some uses. As Linus put it, “we should have done this years ago.” Source: github.com/torvalds/linux/co…
