I remember during the 2016 election, Douglas Mackey (aka “Ricky Vaughn” case, he posted a satirical meme and the Biden DOJ treated it as a serious crime, Arrested by the FBI in in late January 2021. Convicted in Brooklyn federal court in 3/2023 and sentenced in October 2023 to 7 months in prison - plus a fine. The sentence was stayed while he appealed . 7/25 - Second Court unanimously overturned the conviction. Midterms are no laughing matter.
