European Athletics Championships - over and out ✅ One of the most incredible weeks I’ve had in my career so far, covering a major championships on home soil in the UK 🇬🇧 Nobody quite knew what Birmingham 2026 would bring but the championships was pretty spectacular, and it was a privilege to help tell stories of the athletes ✍️ Spoke to everyone from Keely Hodgkinson and Amy Hunt to Jazmin Sawyers and Nadia Battocletti, to name just a few 🎙️ The video views have gone well into seven-figures at @AthleticsWeekly and it’s been a joy to work with such an amazing team 🙌 On top of that we have been producing content with @NBRunning, so stay tuned for more immersive athlete interviews this week 📹 Also took part in the media race and, two days after cutting both of my knees on a canal bridge (🤦‍♂️) clocked an 800m PB of 2:29.35 🏃

£1.012 billion taken from Manchester United, stolen directly from the club, for the Glazer debt saddled on the club. £170 million paid out in dividends. Around £42m paid every year since the 2005 Glazer leveraged buyout - a process that is now illegal - to service their debt.

Since 2005 Premier League clubs have had a total interest cost on borrowings and financial debt of £3.5bn. One club and one set of owners is responsible for 35% of the total. #Glazernomics Figures per @valuball

Two years ago Omar Berrada launched Project 150 – celebrating Man Utd's 150th anniversary by winning the league title in 2028. At this rate his goal might be fulfilled in the Championship. I have never been so disillusioned with the club and, even though Michael Carrick has got it wrong tactically, he is not the main person at fault. Still believe that unless the Glazers sell and the debt is wiped, Man Utd cannot challenge for either the PL or CL.

I'd absolutely take relegation tomorrow if they sold up and we rebuilt from nothing. Feels like the only way now.

Current concern is Man City will be deducted 100 points and still finish above Man Utd

A blood-letting of unprecedented scale in the Stretford End in that second-half. “Sell United and fuck off home.” “You can stick your new stadium up your arse.” Bonfire chant for Glazers + Jim Ratcliffe. Jason Wilcox also a target. Players booed. #MUFC

Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox should have no future at Manchester United. They have spectacularly failed at building a squad or appointing a manager and should be replaced.

I spoke to Peres Jepchirchir's agent Gianni Demadonna about her positive test for EPO. He said doping control officers initially were not granted access to her house on the day of her test and had to call him before they could be let in. letsrun.com/news/2026/10/ano…

The 2016 Olympic marathon champion Jemima Sumgong and current world marathon record-holder Ruth Chepngetich are both serving bans. So it’s pretty galling news to see Peres Jepchirchir, the Tokyo Olympic and reigning world marathon champion, now suspended. athleticsweekly.com/news/per…

It goes without saying but this is a massive story. She is the Tokyo Olympic and world marathon champion + has major marathon wins in London, Boston and New York City. Tested positive for EPO before she won the Sydney Marathon on August 30.

I thought Harry Brook’s 200 was remarkable but it’s somehow been overshadowed! This chase is only bettered by that famous SA v Aus match from 2006, where SA chased down 435 in Johannesburg.
