lol. Albanese is toast
This is going to be a longer post. I apologise.
Here are my thoughts on what is wrong with the current Albanese Labor Government. It can be fixed in a heartbeat. It will not be.... Read on.
Australia under Albanese Labor has moved from an aspiration nation where hard work, investment, home ownership and getting ahead were the goal to a redistribution state that taxes capital and assets in the name of “fairness” and “aspiration for all.”
The rhetoric still uses the word “aspiration.” The policies do the opposite.
Howard-era Australia treated aspiration as individual. Lower tax rates that reward effort and risk, policies that encouraged property ownership and business, and a focus on growing the pie. Real wages and productivity rose strongly. Households got ahead.
Albanese’s version redefines it as state-managed rebalancing so that aspiration is not “only for some.” That is a fundamental change in what the word means.
The clearest early signal was the 2024 rewrite of the Stage 3 tax cuts..... This was the first cut....
Morrison’s legislated package flattened the middle rate and raised the top threshold, reducing the disincentive to earn more. Albanese kept the overall cost roughly the same but made the cuts more progressive. Larger relief for low and middle earners, roughly halved for those above ~$200k, and retained the 37% bracket.
It was explicitly redistributive.

The bigger break came in the 2026 Budget. The second cut....
Before the 2025 election Albanese was asked repeatedly whether Labor would touch negative gearing or the capital gains tax discount. His answers included: “Yes. How hard is it? For the 50th time.” and “I rule it out.”
He then limited negative gearing (mainly to new builds, grandfathered), scrapped the 50% CGT discount in favour of inflation indexation, and changed trust taxation.
He later called the changes “pro-aspiration” and insisted Labor is “the party of aspiration.” Critics called the budget a “budget of redistribution” and an assault on self-starters.

This is the pattern. Promise restraint or no change to win elections. Once in office with a majority, shift toward higher taxes on capital, property and higher earners to fund expanded spending and transfers. The third cut...
Albanese has framed it as stopping aspiration being “only for some” and helping young people at auctions. The practical effect is to reduce the tax advantages that previously helped people build wealth through investment property and other assets—while grandfathering existing owners (including many in politics).
Spending has moved in the same direction. The fourth cut...
The NDIS has blown out far beyond original forecasts and become one of the largest single pressures on the budget. Broader care-economy and social spending has grown rapidly. Overall government spending as a share of the economy has risen. More than half of net jobs growth has been in health, education and public administration—sectors largely funded by taxpayers.
When revenue falls short of the new spending trajectory, the response has been higher taxes on assets and capital rather than sustained restraint.
(See AFR coverage of spending blowouts and Guardian/Budget papers on NDIS trajectory.)
The economic results do not support the claim that this expands opportunity.
Per-capita GDP has been weak for much of the period. Productivity remains subdued (still below earlier peaks on several measures). Real living standards have lagged many peers. Strong nominal wage growth has often been eroded by inflation and weak productivity.
One analysis notes the direction is the opposite of the Hawke-Keating era, which combined market reforms, growth and targeted fairness. Bigger government + higher taxes on capital has not delivered the rising per-person prosperity of the aspiration era.

Housing is the clearest irony.
The changes are sold as helping first-home buyers by reducing investor competition for existing homes. Yet tax settings that discourage investment in rental stock, combined with slow progress on actual supply, do not automatically create more homes. Treasury modelling has noted potential reductions in construction from the tax changes. Grandfathering protects current investors while raising the cost for future ones—the classic “pull up the ladder” outcome.
Aspiration via ownership is replaced by aspiration via government allocation and higher taxes on those who already own.
Albanese and Chalmers still say the policies “nourish aspiration” and back “aspiration for all.” That language is deliberate. It keeps the popular word while changing its meaning from “reward work and risk so people can get ahead” to “use the tax system to equalise outcomes and fund larger transfers.”
The political divide is now explicit: one side wants lower taxes on effort and investment to grow the pie; the other wants higher taxes on wealth and capital to redistribute it. Under this government Australia has moved decisively toward the latter—after promising voters it would not.
The results so far: more redistribution, slower per-person growth, and a redefinition of aspiration that no longer means what most Australians understood it to mean.
This is failure by a thousand cuts. None of those cuts where they need to be.
Are you awake yet? The Albanese Labor Government could fix this TODAY! They do not want to. They want their agenda. They are prepared to go hell for leather and bluster their way to an election. Witness Ben Carroll promising the earth now to keep his position.
The sad fact is we are not all equal. The world does not work that way. There are visionaries, there are sheep. The sheep will be happy with their salary. Leave them be. Albo will not. He wants to make the sheep visionaries. This will not end well Australia.
They're not losing trust because of misinformation. They're losing trust because people can't afford to live. 🇦🇺📉
Protecting children online is important. But when the conversation shifts from child safety to “misinformation,” political extremism and controlling what people see, Australians should pay attention. People aren’t frustrated because social media told them to be — they’re frustrated because groceries, mortgages, rents and job security have all gone the wrong way. Fix the country. Don’t try to manage the conversation. 💬🤔

"Why won't [Labor] protect Australian tradition?
Albo doesn't like admitting a mistake. He doesn't like admitting that he fell off the stage ... but this is people power."
Right @AshPolitik mate do not under any circumstances watch this 😘
Well done lads.
Shut. Every. Single. One. Down
The Australian government just SHUT DOWN one of the scam NDIS businesses we exposed.
Out of the 5 businesses we investigated, 2 have now been shut down and another 2 remain under active NDIS investigation and audit. 4 from 5 so far.
SHUTDOWN!!! @PeteZogoulas

This needs to be posted on a regular basis.
@AlboMP made a bold statement, and then contradicted it over & over again.
He “changed his position”!

Albanese claimed yesterday that his dirt sheet on Helen Haines was actually a document praising her ''integrity.''
But I've got the document. In the weeks leading up to the terrorist attack on Helen's life, Albo tried to spread rumours that she had secret corrupt ties with the local TABLE TENNIS TEAM.
What a fucking clown.
When politicians own property, policy gets personal 🏠🇦🇺
When the people writing the property rules own investment properties themselves, Australians have every right to question whose interests those rules really serve. 🤔

At the last election the prime minister said universal childcare would be his legacy.
The Albanese Government has introduced the 3 day subsidy guarantee, but has gone quiet on further reform.
22-year-old Charlotte Walker used to work in the sector and tells The Issue podcast that Labor hasn't forgotten about reform. For more tune into The Issue on the LiSNTR app, 7Plus or YouTube.

The mask slipped here, and the lies tried to cover it.
He clearly says you are reading from the No pamphlet. He got angry.
@AlboMP is this turning the temperature down? You lost this referendum by a margin.
You have stoked the fires for years. You should be honest. Apologise. Do better moving forward. Be more inclusive. Sure we can disagree but blustering in the face of overwhelming evidence to protect your ego is not fitting of a Prime Minister in my view.

This right here is what paid propaganda looks like
Democrat influencers are make videos using the exact same script, word for word, targeting Elon Musk saying he’s buying the midterms elections
Again, WORD FOR WORD. All Democrats have is paid propaganda. They rely on people believing their paid propagandists reading scripts for money

Hey @punterspolitix how's your old buddy Ben Oquist going, you know the guy pulling the strings of the Australia institute, husband of Sarah Hanson-Young, lobbyist for Rio Tinto, Westfarmers, Uber among others?
Tell us again how your performances aren't scripted propaganda from a progressive think tank pushing progressive ideology with direct access to federal politicians for clout.

This is either completely dishonest or completely clueless from the PM and is disgraceful. The page doing the rounds clearly attacks Haines and implies she has double standards on porkbarrelling and may have hidden conflicts of interest.
Has @AlboMP abandoned X?
Since his last post here he has posted twice on LinkedIn. A platform where people celebrate mediocrity. Both times comments disabled.
Has Albo found his mark? A platform you can take a dump and people congratulate you. Even then he has comments off. 😂

Just when you thought the @AlboMP government and @AustralianLabor couldn’t be any more corrupt or compromised, we find out that the Home Affairs Minister @Tony_Burke is not only closely tied to a Hamas affiliated radical Islamist but has been funding his organisation.

James Willis is over Albanese for telling people to turn the temperature down.
He says people are entitled to feel frustrated with a government that has let them down.
