Here's my recap on the explosive, unpredictable @DRX_VS win over FPX
Tons of stats and quotes to read inside
@staxVLRT: “We’ve been able to play in front of fans in Korea but not abroad so it was a dream come true.”

I think the solution to all these teams that didn't get into the esports club is to lobby for a franchise system that allows you to pay too much to buy in and at the same time increase your teams fake valuation. Why has no one done this?
"Look at all the orgs that have died"
Hmm, wonder why they died

You think that open circuit will survive today fck nooo. Look all the orgs that have died
Valorant had a great open system and then felt the need to control the entire ecosystem. The industry keeps making the same mistakes
To clarify
Riot changed the way Valorant works so that any team can make/win an international tournament
But they chose 4 teams in NA to become partners
They give those teams millions of $$ AND a skin in the game (they get a percentage of sales)
If an unpartnered org builds a moneyball team that absolutely crushes at an international event- those players will be poached by a partnered org
It happened to us with Brawk and Mada going to NRG it is happening to C9 who just lost partnership and already letting their players shop around
I just don't know if it is worth competing in the esport long term as compared to investing into an esport with a truly open system

Makes me really sad to see how people engage with with something that they don't particularly understand.
Jason is autistic, that doesn't absolve him of responsibility nor does it render him incapable of learning etiquette, but the problem is that these things are completely unintuitive. I'm on the spectrum to a lesser degree, and literally every single thing I do has to go through multiple layers of is this acceptable, how will others perceive this, have I learned anything from a previous interaction that I need to be considering, and that doesn't just "go away" it's a repetitive step I have to take for the rest of my life.
I can only imagine it's even worse for Jason, he lives with a caretaker; it doesn't matter that he's 37, this is a developmental disability he's going to live with for the rest of his life. That doesn't mean you should exonerate everything he does, but there's an extremely obvious line between informing someone that they need to reevaluate their actions and making them out to be a vile disgusting piece of shit.
Things that seem like common sense to you are just not to a lot of people on the spectrum, and that's nobody's fault but it's a fact of life. You don't dogpile on a kid to teach them, and unfortunately every new thing in his life needs to be treated that way, even if it's "obvious" to you. He's gotten infinitely better at taking accountability, this would've been no different. It looks like he needs to be in an environment where these things are accessibly learnable and clearly he hasn't had that in quite some time.
I hope those of you who are actually feeling animosity over this and aren't just dunking for internet points (fuck you if that is you) can put the same energy into researching how to manage a learning disability as you did to ousting someone that already got banned from the event, took an obvious financial hit, and is suffering immensely.
Made a post about my thoughts on things. Ngl im turning off replies cuz of the types of mean msgs many ppl sent me that i dont want to see or deal with. I wont be streaming or around for a while (maybe weeks idk). Thx for those who do care appreciate you

Truly thankful for Hbox and of course people are calling him every sort of nasty thing you can think of in the comments.
this community can be so cruel
M2K has autism, and as much as you want to say “it’s no excuse”, no one is perfect and new circumstances can happen which can be things to learn from. This is one of those cases and he has learned from it.
He has no family that wants to take care of him
He relies on the few friends he has to be able to live anywhere
and often those living conditions aren’t ideal
He was told he shouldn’t go to the event, and he listened and agreed.
please have some grace and don’t bully another member of the community into further mental decline
The twitter "for you" page feels like a dangerous space right now. It's nothing but shit you don't want to see from the last people you'd want to hear from on that topic. If you use this site often, stick to your own followers
People close to M2K need to go check on him in person or on the phone and make sure he's doing ok right now. The amount of vitriol I'm seeing towards him is just cruel and overwhelming. Try and understand him before throwing stones.

Leave it to Street Fighter 4 to descend from the heavens and provide a much needed ray of light in these dark, doomer FGC times. Fighting games' true savior has returned, once again, when we needed it most.
SF4 will forever be the GOAT. 🐐
Why even release the game to begin with? Nobody at Riot thought those internal projections sounded off? It appears like bad project management coupled with unrealistic expectations and neglect from the suits made it DOA. Just a horrible look for Riot
Riot has the most aesthetically pleasing and puffed up production in esports, but they miss the mark consistently when it comes to competitive integrity and creating a fair environment.
Oof. Riot continues to have issues with games played on stage at VCT events. There's a new issue every event. This might be the most damning
