This is what a Green council gets you.
Under the Greens, Lewisham has lost a £1.5bn town centre plan. 1,700 homes, a new park, a music venue and so much more. On a site where nobody lives. Our group leader, @Ese_Journo, warned the Mayor this would happen. He called her embarrassing. Lewisham deserves better.

Bloody hell. The article is even more concerning than the headline suggests!
A former Conservative election candidate has been suspended after he was seemingly filmed discussing the cost of hiring contract killers and offering to “broker” the services of a far-right activist with alleged paramilitary links. By @BenQuinn75 theguardian.com/politics/202…

‘They met my dogs’ 😂
STATEMENT I am aware that ITV infiltrated the Portsmouth Reform UK branch for their undercover report. I am featured in their documentary. Not in a bad way, in my opinion, but still featured. I’ll get to that in a minute…. What I am more shocked and disgusted in is that I now know who the two reporters were whom infiltrated us. These two men campaigned with us in March/April in Portsmouth and it leads me to wonder whether their interference in an election is a potential criminal offence. We have no way to know whether they posted flyers they were meant to. Or whether they gave us correct door knocking information. They campaigned in four seats specifically where, in 3, we lost by a small number of votes. Their involvement would have had an impact on the result. By default ITV could have literally paid reporters to ruin an election result for Reform UK candidates. That has to be criminal. On a personal level I allowed these men in my home. I made them drinks. They met my dogs. It’s an entirely disgusting invasion of personal privacy. I have photos of these men and know who they are - I will not disclose them at this stage but may in the future once I’ve gotten advice In relation to my involvement with the documentary I remain firm in everything I personally said. I was never a member of the Portsmouth Patriots, as the documentary states, but I have supported their movement over the years from the sidelines. The executive team who run them are good people. Yes outside third parties have come in and done some abhorrent things. Those people should be condemned. But the local group themselves are decent, passionate, local residents who care deeply about their community. I’m appalled by ITV and hope they are held to account for their potential criminal behaviour and election interference. The two reporters involved in infiltrating Portsmouth I hope are held to account for their personal actions in the outcome of elections. The money, resources and time spent by companies and individuals to damage Reform UK are unprecedented in our political system - you have to ask yourself why?

On the fifth anniversary of the murder of my good friend Sir David Amess, killed doing his job as an MP, I'm thinking of his family. David was unfailingly kind & treated everyone equally. In our democracy, everyone should be able to go about their work without fear of violence.

Supporting a motion that effectively denies Israel the right to exist crossed a very significant red line. In the weeks ahead, the party needs to come together, to work to show everyone, especially Jewish people, that our party is safe for them; and to make our party’s internal processes more representative and effective. @CarolineLucas's diary: The "Zionism is racism" fallout newstatesman.com/diary/2026/…

Hiding behind mealy mouthed, say nothing Facebook posts from Worthing Green Party with comments turned off is not good enough. See this one - posted on the anniversary of 7 Oct, without even a reference to it. You should be honest with your constituents about how you voted.

I know there are good Green members & councillors in my constituency who very strongly disagree with where their party is going. They need to speak up & will have my support in doing so. It’s the only way to excise this hatred, as we in Labour learned from bitter experience.

This is @Worthing_Greens, encouragingly describing this absurd antisemitic conspiracy theory from one of their supporters as an ‘incisive question’, rather than condemning it as they should have done.

It is now time for @Worthing_Greens councillors to come clean - on the record - about how they voted on the Zionism is Racism motion and the so-called safeguarding amendment. If you’re proud of it, say so. If you think it’s abhorrent, say so.

Has anyone ever described something as ‘incisive’ or ‘insightful’ whilst condemning it? Laughable rubbish.
