Herts County Council's Conservative cabinet have just confirmed their decision to make it more difficult and more expensive to introduce 20mph speed limits. That will not only mean fewer safe roads but will waste money that could be better spent on other things.
It's great to see this. Can Royston do the same?

What's more: if drivers don’t obey a 20mph speed limit then the limit will be increased. How does this make our streets safer for walkers and cyclists, as the Local Transport Plan requires?

In 1996, New Zealand changed its voting system to a form of Proportional Representation.
It hasn't led to chaos or confusion. It's led to one of the most effective responses to one of the biggest issues of our time.
We should #ChangeTheVotingSystem too. nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/artic…

And for all the wibblers complaing about how this is too much money being spent on cycling.
For the same amount of cash that cycling is getting over 3 years, 10 miles of road and a roundabout are being upgraded near me. To save about 5 minutes.
