The only thing you need to be happy is a healthy mind. Money, fame, success - none of it matters if you don’t have a healthy mind.
You’re like 8 steps behind the emotional maturity level required to understand what I’m saying.

FWIW, I’m trying to help you.
I’ve been you. I’m 43 now. I have a wife, 3 kids, plus one on the way, I have a good job, and a nice house on the end of a cul de sac.
Chasing all of these things was a fine experience, and I’m happy with my life, but if you think there’s some grand sense of accomplishment at the end of that journey, that the hole is filled and that you’ll no longer feel judgement, inadequacy, or wanting, I’m here to tell you you’re very, very wrong. You still feel that longing, you still suffer, you still judge yourself and others, you still want more.
This is a core lesson that life teaches. You don’t find meaning through stuff, through status, or through circumstances. It’s already there. It’s deep within. And you can live a meaningful life being homeless, so you can definitely live one playing World of Warcraft.
Or you can shut down your mind, block me, and foolishly learn these lessons the hard way, which is much more typical of narcissistic youth.
A guy I work with just died this week. He was 65. He was a partner at my workplace. I had lunch with him last year when he was transitioning to retirement. He told me all about the plans he and his wife had, They bought a house on the river, they bought a boat, and they were going to cruise around all year and finally enjoy themselves.
He retired in January of this year. He was diagnosed with cancer in February. He died this week.
This man lived the same life as all of us. He was a child who went to school every day because he had to prepare for adulthood. He grew into an adult, he did as he was told, he picked a career, he climbed his way up in his career, he eventually bought into a partnership, and he saved his 10% into the S&P every month for 4 decades. He never broke the law, he never cheated or stole. He was a model soldier.
After 65 years of service to this system, he enjoyed exactly 2 months of "retirement" before it all came crashing down. He lived and died a servant to a future promise that would never come.
Rest in peace my friend. In your memory, I will try not to waste time and energy focusing on a future that may never come. You will be an eternal reminder to me that all we really have in this life is this moment.

Literally everywhere on earth is just one big long example of left wing ideology being a complete and disastrous failure and they learn absolutely nothing from it, ever
Not sure why you turned off comments to your "sincere question," but here's a sincere answer: because many men have the experience of pursuing women like this in their early 20s, only to be rejected as these women chase rich playboys, professional athletes, etc., like pictured below.
Only when they don't make the cut and/or they age out of the party life do they miraculously "find love" with the man on the right. Because the clock is ticking and being alone is much worse than settling down with the safe guy.
Ofc, you know this. You girls talk about this among yourselves. Your "hoe years" I believe you call them. You'd just prefer to avoid taking accountability for this shitty behaviour - and all of you really need to, because it's something that, culturally, has to change.
I have a sincere question. Why do men like this assign high value to the guy on the left but not the right?
Is the idea that the left guy makes her wild and feral but the right guy doesn’t and bores her? Why is that conclusion jumped to?
I am privy to quite a lot about male celebs and I know that 80% are closeted gay and that photos and relationships with women are produced and curated. And highly performative men like Dan are, behind closed doors, usually entirely opposite their public image.
But regardless, how do you know that Dan behind the scenes wasn’t a childish weirdo that made her internally roll her eyes? That in fact HE was boring. And that perhaps the guy she married makes her feel fireworks and she’s never been more in love?
What is the preoccupation with being a voyeur and crowning other men “alpha?” It’s almost as if these posters are fantasizing about other guys’ sexual prowess
Unpopular opinion: The endgame content in Vanilla WoW actually sucked.
The dungeons and raids were ugly, confusing mazes that took forever to learn and navigate. It took 5+ hours to do an UBRS run and nothing about it was enjoyable. The best part of Vanilla was the open world, the leveling, and the exploration.
And that's where WoW went wrong over the years. Every expansion catered to the endgame. The Inn in Westfall stayed under construction all the way through Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath. For 6 years the leveling experience was completely ignored. No updates. No time progression. No new quests or dungeons. All attention went to the endgame.
Hopefully WoW Forever learns from this history. The leveling experience needs updates too - perhaps even more than end game. Ignore the loud mouths who rush to complete everything in record time, and min/max every aspect of the game. Focus on building and maintaining an expansive, evolving world that people enjoy to be in.
We already teach this - almost exclusively, and we never teach the other side of the story.
In most cases, "colonization" was a mercy. In indigenous America, India, Africa, etc., mass rape, murder, and the worst type of torture imaginable were daily occurances. There was no rule of law, no restitution for most victims, and the only justice available was murderous vengeance and torture of your own.
Slavery was a global phenomenon. Every society engaged in it, including Africans. The main historical contribution that Europeans made to slavery is leading the global effort to abolish it, and they spent decades punishing many Asian, African, and Middle Eastern societies that refused to do so.
Normalize teaching your children about the twin evils of slavery and colonization.
Teach them who enslaved our ancestors, who colonized our lands, who stole our resources, and how their wealth was built on our suffering.
Black children must know their history — a history written in sweat, tears and blood.
Never let them forget it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Most captives sold into the transatlantic trade were provided by African kingdoms and traders to European buyers. The longer Arab trade enslaved comparable numbers. Modern slavery continues in parts of Africa.

Gen Z: please do not follow this advice. My favourite thing about your generation is that you choose to live authentically. Please do not accept this millennial lie that life can be optimized, and that there’s some magic reward at the end if you just play the game right.
There is no reward. There is only your legacy of living in truth or deception. Continue to choose truth. It’s what makes your generation better than all the rest.
Attention Young Men:
I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it.
Step 1: Stop playing video games
Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up
Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical)
Step 4: Go clean your car
Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class
Step 6: Go to the yoga class
Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends)
Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night.
Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion.
Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper.
Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite.
Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2.
Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you.
My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.
Just finished watching the new movie 'The Get Out' with Russell Crowe. I couldn't help but notice the moral of the movie, as captured by this final scene, is that you don't need a lot to be happy - just a bag full of a money and a girlfriend 20 years younger than you 😅

Unpopular opinion:
Traveling is wildly overrated unless you're genuinely wealthy.
People talk about it like it's the meaning of life, but for most people it's just an expensive headache wrapped in Instagram filters.
You spend months saving money, then pay ridiculous prices for flights, hotels, baggage fees, taxis, food, and tourist attractions.
The airport experience is a nightmare:
• Long security lines
• Delayed flights
• Canceled flights
• Lost luggage
• $10 bottles of water
• Sitting in a metal tube for hours with no legroom
Then you finally arrive exhausted, only to discover you're standing in line with thousands of other tourists trying to take the exact same photo.
Everyone says, "It's about the experience."
What experience?
Being stressed, sleep deprived, overcharged, and counting down the days until you're back in your own bed?
For me, nothing beats having money in the bank, sleeping in my own house, eating food I actually like, and avoiding the chaos altogether.
Maybe I'm missing something, but spending thousands to be uncomfortable in a different location has never sounded like a great deal.

$KAS is for people who jailbreak the remote and change Netflix button to turning on the hot tub

Look ladies, if you find yourselves feeling this way, leave your kids with their dad and go. We’re not going to excuse you killing your kids because you “didn’t feel right”. And don’t say “you don’t have kids so you don’t know.” You SHOULDN’T have kids, that’s what I do know.
Alanis Morissette said she "dipped into psychosis" as she toured while experiencing post-partum depression from her 3rd child (who she delivered at 45)
"I call it post-partum activity, because it's not just depression... I became another person. And all the hormones are all over the place... Terrible, ceaseless invasive thoughts. Anxiety, depression, rage -- off the charts. I felt completely out of control."
"I have spent my whole life attempting to establish to people that I love that I'm safe and that I'm predictable. And then, all of a sudden, I wasn't."

There’s going to be some short term economic pain. A lot of social services that were (for some reason) designed to run like Ponzi schemes are going to collapse. And any institution or government holding large amounts of debt is going to default.
Other than that this is tremendously good news for our species and our planet. This has been studied. The healthy carrying capacity for Earth is around 3 billion. We’re approaching 3x that, which is why we’re destroying everything.
There’s no global warming, endangered species, dried up fisheries, or economic migrants at 3 billion. We need to get there as soon as possible.
The White Liberal woman isn’t even the core problem. Her only problem is that she’s pathologically agreeable.
The real problem is the underlying forces that want to destroy Western society. It’s multiculturalism. “Multicultural” means multiple cultures, and multiple cultures will naturally fight for hierarchical supremacy.
Because the leading culture is based on Anglo Saxon common law, everything about that needs to be dismantled if anything hopes to replace it. And if you put a highly agreeable western white woman in a room with a bunch of people who want to destroy western culture for their own perceived gain, it’s not going to take long for her to start to agree with them.
