Our minds anchor to information
Marketers use this with price anchoring
We’ll show the original price, then the discounted price next to it
But did you know that you can do it w/ any number?
It’s called the High-Low Principle

Worst customer experience ever from @Hertz . No cars available, not willing to honor my reservation at another location (offered to rent to me for an extra $300 for one day!) and won’t cancel my reservation. So much for gold status. 🙄
Called the 1800 number given to me at the counter to cancel my reservation and after spending 20 minutes on the phone they were also unable to cancel my reservation or honor it at another location. Suggested I go to another state to get a car from them. @Hertz – at Arlington, VA
Massive shout out to Linda at @hertz DCA who managed to get us a car and was so helpful and friendly! Finally someone who cares about customer service!!! – at Arlington, VA
Here’s an idea- take your list of customers w/ reservations for that day & contact them to let them know they do not have a vehicle. Then they don’t spend time- money to get to the location only to leave without a car. The 3 people in the kiosk can actually be useful. @Hertz – at Arlington, VA

Powerful message from @Robert_A_Berger on the @FinCon Big Ideas stage. He doesn’t know it, but connecting with him in DC was basically the tipping point to go full time as a freelancer #FinCon22
