We’ve got to get big money out of our politics so no trillionaire can buy an election, unrig this economic system that only benefits the top 1%, pass universal healthcare so that no one goes bankrupt just because they get sick, invest in our teachers and our students so every underdog has a fighting chance, and end these corrupt forever wars that are driving up prices. This shouldn’t be just Democrats. This should be Democrats and Republicans and the president coming together to make this change.

It was working people across our state coming together, first-time voters, three-time Trump voters, a coalition unlike any this state has ever seen. The real fight in this country is not left versus right, it’s top versus bottom. Whether you’re a little more progressive or a little more conservative, none of us can afford gas or groceries or healthcare, because the system has been rigged against us by the people at the top who run this government. Last night the people of Texas sent a crystal clear message — they want change, and they expect change.
