Thank you so much for this.
According to the recommendation in 2:24 - 2:30 of the video, solar installation should be another alternative to the effect of El Niño in the country 🤔
But as the ravaging El Niño phenomenon and extreme heat intensify, millions of Nigerians are left struggling with unbearable temperatures, unreliable electricity, and the rising cost of survival.
How can families, small businesses, hospitals, and vulnerable citizens cope when electricity supply remains inadequate at a time they need it most?
Meanwhile, the @NigeriaGov has made provisions for the solarization of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa at the cost of N17 billion in the 2025 and 2026 budgets.
What does this investment mean for the ordinary Nigerian who cannot afford alternative power, solar installations, or even the fuel to run a generator?
Where is the relief for the common man?
Citizens should not have to bear the combined burden of extreme heat, power shortages, and the high cost of living without practical support.
We call on the government to urgently strengthen electricity supply, provide targeted relief for vulnerable households and small businesses, and ensure that public investments in solar energy translate into accessible, affordable power for ordinary Nigerians.
Public spending must deliver public relief. When the heat becomes unbearable and the lights go out, who stands with the people?

Mr. Seun Onigbinde(@oluseun) on where public project tracking goes next:
1. Scale the community champions. Paid officers can’t keep expanding. Volunteers on the ground can.
2. Use AI to estimate what a project should cost, down to the blocks and cement, and to show what a proper community school could look like.
The goal: give people a vision of what a proper society should be.

Dear @NphcdaNG, Gov @Hope_Uzodimma1,
This is the facility that serves over 24,000 residents of Eziama Obire, in Nkwerre LGA, Imo State,
To say this facility need immediate intervention is an understatement. If you visit this facility for treatment, you will have to fetch water from the well, there’s no perimeter fencing so being admitted overnight might be risky, the ceiling is caved in, roof is damaged and the toilet is broken.
Still, residents use this facility due to limited options.
We implore your office, the @GovtOfImoState, @ISPHCDA1, to facilitate the immediate renovation of this facility.

Charity begins at home, they say. Learning to manage your household budget is a good place to start when it comes to making better financial decisions. It can also help you understand how government budgets work and how public money is spent.
Through the #BudgITAt15 Impact Stories series, we have shared stories of individuals and communities and how budgets affect their lives. Today, we spotlight Esiobu Nnaemeka Success, PhD, a BudgIT SFTL Fellow in Imo State, who brought young people and rural farmers in his community together to learn about personal finance and government budgets.
Participants learned how to manage household spending, find government budget documents and understand how public funds are allocated. They also gained the confidence to access this information independently.
Knowing how to find and understand government budget information helps citizens follow public spending and see how it connects to the needs of their communities.
Read Esiobu’s story to learn how he is helping young people and rural farmers build this understanding.
