Most caregivers develop what I call caregiver brain. Even when we aren’t with our loved ones, we can’t stop thinking about what’s next. We get exhausted because we just can’t turn off caregiver brain. The next time it threatens to drag you down, let Jesus worry about the future.

One woman’s aging parents were still living on their own and needing minimal help. She said at this point, her goal is to keep them happy, keep them comfortable, and keep them safe. And I thought, what a worthy goal. Sometimes hands-off caregiving is the best kind.
Our granddaughter wanted this starfish fidget toy, so granddaddy made her one. It took 20 hours on the 3-D printer, and he thought something was wrong with it because two of the squares were coming out as circles. Then he realized...those were eyes!
