#OTD in 1970. First day of Dawson´s Field Hijackings (Zarca, Jordan), which later resulted in the destruction of four jetliners (TWA 741- B707; Swissair 100- DC-8; Pan Am 93-B747 and BOAC 775- VC10) on September 13. A fifth hijacking (El Al 219) was averted by security. (More info on comments ⬇️ )
