Yeah I was working at taco bell when "The Change" happened. Suddenly we employed 50% more people(most of whom sucked) and got cut to 30 hours a week.

This post has shown me that most people are incapable of nuance. I've reported more people in the past 24 hours than I care to admit because they told me to kill myself for telling the truth.
Reminder that Andrew Wilson gave BioWare a year long extension to Dragon Age Inquisition, gave them the idea for flight in Anthem, and stoped them from going into a one game per year business model.
Wilson supported BioWare every step of the way and it was BioWare who killed themselves because he was too lenient on them.

“James Bond but he’s…James Bond”
Denis Villeneuve’s take on Bond 26 won't be a rookie origin story. He's planning a radical reinvention.
Instead of a fresh-faced novice learning the basics, we will get a mature operative with a deeply explored military history.
This approach lets Villeneuve ground the character in modern realism while preserving Bond's dangerous, lethal edge.

They won't say it, but secretly, they love that Jared Kushner saved them from themselves. They get talk about the game could've been instead of the Mass Effect: Veilguard we totally would've got instead.
The canceled Mass Effect game reportedly had some very interesting ideas.
The game was set more than 600 years after the original trilogy and would have focused on a galactic Cold War between three major factions, not another Reaper invasion.
You would play as an N7 agent, described as a “cross between John Wick and James Bond.” The gameplay included stealth, hacking, gadgets, melee takedowns and experimental technology.
Missions would be more focused and handcrafted instead of taking place in one huge open world, but players would have a lot of freedom in how they completed each mission, similar to Hitman.
The game also had deeper romance options, squadmates who could argue with each other, and a much older and more powerful Liara.
According to Dantics, the game was much further into development than BioWare made it sound, and could have been something special.

Game studios aren't kids. They're not spouses or family. If they stop making good games, you don't have to keep them on life support and pump money into them just because they made something good over a decade ago.

"you’re not a good parent if you haven’t performed a little nepotism" shit ya know when you put it like that
Sylvester Stallone says that having his daughter in a major role in ‘TULSA KING’ Season 4 is absolutely nepotism.
“First they go, ‘Nepotism is terrible. I said, ‘Oh please, you’re not a good parent if you haven’t performed a little nepotism.' Then obviously you don’t care about your kids, because they come first.
Of course it’s nepotism, you idiot. That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children. So obviously, we let them have every advantage.”

Obi-Wan:
"All politicians are venal and dishonest. Don't trust them."
Anakin:
"I agree, except for Padme [the one good politician] and Palpatine [Satan's emissary]."
Star Wars is actually very critical of democracy. George Lucas appears to believe democracy is ultimately worth it, but he's also highly distrustful of it at the same time, particularly the representative sort.
People take lines like Obi-Wan's "My allegiance is to the Republic — to democracy" too much on faith and assume that's the story's moral thesis.
In that same film, Revenge of the Sith, Padmé expresses distrust for the Republic's institutions and wonders whether they have calcified into the evil they've been trying to destroy with the Separatist crisis.
She's the one who sees things clearly. It's realpolitik and pragmatism. Obi-Wan is somewhat more idealistic.
So, no, it's not as simple as "Star Wars is democracyslop". The story and it's politics are much much more sophisticated than that. George Lucas is telling you that democracy works and is worth it *within circumstances*. And that sometimes the circumstances shift and democracy becomes incapable of protecting itself from its own shortcomings.
Then what do you do?
