You now have only 100 DAYS left to get monetized on YouTube with 4000 watch hours.
(it becomes 8000 Feb 1, 2027).

With custom feeds, we’re giving you the keys to your homepage. Starting today, we’re rolling out the ability to create multiple feeds tuned to what you want to see.
Big thanks to our teams across @YouTube who worked on this. First up for me: Bay Area sports highlights!
Enjoyed every minute sir! Not sure why I didn't have @recraftai and @arena on my radar before but I do now. Also thank you for the play-by-play on going from clay model screen-shots to video scenes so that we can use screen shots of these to create our storyboard prompts lol

I love it when my students think about the types of viewers on YouTube. Mark looked at this old video that performed really well, then he made 1 tweak based on what the data was showing him to get another 1.6 million views!
STRUGGLING WITH #SHORTS?!
"You need a strong hook. You need the right type of pacing. If you are making educational content, a strong lesson. You can't think of it as a preview into the long form. It is not going to preform if you do it that way. It needs to needs to be executed for that viewer and that viewer behavior."
Solid advice from @Glamgirlgabi! In our latest livestream, @Daniel_Batal asked if long form content can be cut down to fit the shorts format effectively. To learn more about this topic and many others, check out the video!

There's a rumor going around that YouTube is removing the dislike button... that is incorrect.
But they are hiding it behind a menu so that it is less accessible to viewers.
This is unlikely to make a difference to your content; the dislike button is intended entirely as a means of allowing viewers to give YouTube feedback on the content that they want to watch. It isn't a negative reflection of the content that you make.
In fact likes and dislikes are two of the least impactful means of engagement on a video, with there being more valuable on the things that cause viewers to actually return.
If you want to get some engagement that really moves the needle for your channel focus on viewer satisfaction and getting them to return for more. That is the secret sauce for YouTube going forward.

Appreciate the share! 🙏
Finally found a good excuse to start a YT channel and force myself in front of a camera. Luckily I have been surrounded by the best in the biz for years so at least I know what I *should* be doing on YT even if I’m not an expert myself yet.
Here's one of the coolest things I've seen in a while!
Some of you may know my friend @PhilStarkovich, the former CEO and co-founder of TubeBuddy before he sold the company a few years ago.
Apparently he's a sports card & memorabilia collector and I recently learned that he also once worked at Upper Deck, helping to make the very cards he collected!
(All these years later and this dude still surprises me 😅)
He's no longer collecting, so he's taking his entire collection of sports cards & memorabilia and just GIVING IT ALL AWAY for FREE to other collectors! 😳
If you're interested in some of it, or just want to check out his mission & his collection, you can learn everything you need to know on his website.

🤏 Small YouTube Studio Update just arrived.
A few minutes ago, I noticed that YouTube made a small update to its YouTube Studio dashboard overlay, at least for some creators. It has added the Real-time analytics directly onto your YouTube Studio dashboard, instead of only seeing them once you click on Analytics.
It’s a little odd why you’d have it in two places at the same time, because it’s still accessible in your Analytics tab, with the lovely blue bars. But my assumption is that they want to make analytics more accessible for many creators who don’t want to be overwhelmed or distracted by all of the other information.
So far, I've only found a few accounts that have this update, so it doesn't seem to be available to everyone yet.
A small update, but I just saw it, so I wanted to share it quickly. Nothing too impactful.
As the owner of the entire set of 92-93 UD Basketball Cards (including the mail-in redemption rookie cards) I can not express enough how cool this is!

With YouTube's new monetization requirements hitting in February, 2027, Creators are going to need all the help we can get being able to create original (not AI Slop), high-value content even faster than before.
For me, editing is always the bottleneck. That typically takes me more time than ideation or filming.
But check this out;
@OpusClip just dropped their AI Producer.
It's a plugin that you can download and use for FREE by adding onto your exisiting ChatGPT or Claude desktop app.
Just drop in your raw footage and it does the rest. AI Producer handles rough cuts, punch ins, zooms, captions, B-roll, motion graphics, music/SFX, etc.
It's like having a video editor right into your AI model of choice.
It uses your ChatGPT or Claude subscription to do all of the heavy lifting.
AI Producer edited this entire video from raw footage that definitely had lots of mistakes and retakes.
You can download everything you need HERE:
