Hochul has scabbed the very picket lines that Zohran has walked in solidarity with workers. She’s scabbed the NYC Nurses strike. She’s scabbed the @LIRR workers’ and proactively tried to break their unions. Hochul’s overall trade union record is humiliating for @TheDemocrats . Right now, as Zohran keeps his promises to campaign with her , Hochul has a demand on the bargaining table to totally strip NY-NJ Port Authority workers of retiree medical benefits. These are all actions that Zohran would be completely opposed to . But business is business and commitments must be kept . And right in the face of prominent trade union leaders describing Hochul as a “ fierce fighter for working families .” This pattern of rubber stamping support and endorsements of candidates regardless of their record of support for workers has led to an absolute dilution of the influence of union leaderships’ endorsements among rank and file workers. Hochul is a quintessential example of trade union leader endorsements flying in the face of the reality which rank and file trade union members live in. In 2026, Hochul sided with the bosses and scabbed the NYC Nurses strike, she triggered and scabbed the LIRR workers strike, then led the effort the tarnish the workers elected union leadership and break the unions. Instead of being publicly challenged by NYS’ biggest trade unions , the leaders of those unions just lined up and endorsed her. Rank and file union members are not fooled by this. Such misplaced endorsements are not persuasive with rank and file workers and actually serve to weaken the integrity of organized labor.
