I understand this is really upsetting not deal with any AI Slops in VRChat worlds, believe me I’m also not really happy about it.
But if you could’ve read the reasoning why not adding AI tag, you might would’ve understand. If you don’t,
I don’t know what say to you than “think”.
It won’t get any better adding AI tag.
(Well at least for you) you’ll able to avoid it by removing it from category while searching for world, but there might others who would harass honest world creators for using the AI tag, and then other creators might not be telling the truth if their world is made by hand, it’s a complicated setup to moderate. Sure when comes art, they could send proof that it is made by hand with a video, but do you think that the video is real? Or is just another AI creation?
Do you now see what I mean?….
If the quality is good enough you can just lie about using A.I.
Also they might be adding a field dedicated to the tools used in creating the map, so you can avoid A.i maps if they disclose it there.

I am genuinely disappointed in the community’s reaction to this. Apparently a hot take but here we go.
I see VRChat’s reasoning in this as sound. I am very much anti AI, and yeah I want a label too. Yes, 95% of us want a label. But you all are ignoring the fact that we couldn’t agree on what that label should apply to, which is what the entire poll was about. *only 10% of us had a consensus as for what the label should apply to.*
It’s not about them not giving us a label. They know we want one. But how do you slap a label onto it when you don’t know where that label goes? A lot of people on here are gonna say label it all, but clearly in the survey that’s not the case. If everyone wanted all ai content labeled, then there’d be more than a 10% correlation between the responses.
I understand the disappointment in what we got out of this. But the dev team is trying their best with what they weee given. Read the entire post. Don’t just cut out the parts that fit your view. Yeah, they aren’t giving an Ai label. But they’re considering alternatives such as a human made label so if you’re proud of doing it all yourself you can show it off.
You all say the community is united against Ai, but if we genuinely were there would’ve been a much clearer line on where things go too far. Unfortunately the argument “Ai bad” isn’t good enough. There is a lot of nuance to this and for there to be progress, there needs to be compromise. Give them time, let them do what they can. That is how I see it.
