TONIGHT 27 June / Thunderstorm Risk
Yorkshire Dales and Eastern parts of North England (especially coastal regions) will continue to see storms this evening over the next few hours.
Overnight there’s a risk of some thunderstorms coming up from France affecting the South East:
With limited time as a new dad, I can’t give as much time to this as I’d like. So, I’m keeping it simple. During notable events through summer, I’ll aim to produce maps.
LOW, MED, or HIGH risk of storms with an indication of severity.

Currently another storm going by with biblical rain...
I quickly got a drone shot! Didn't stay up very long 😂
Low res radar unfortunately, however possible supercell moving northward across Ireland. Severe weather likely over the next few hours extending into Northern Ireland. #WeatherAware
Scotland getting absolutely pasted this evening. Low population areas though, so unlikely to hear/see many reports from on the ground!

Update #2 / Broadly the same other than expansion of the risk across Wales and England as some models continue to develop a MCS - all very unpredictable and very much a now cast event here.
Scotland’s thunderstorms are already underway (see below image for lightning strikes).
