“NOT LONG AFTER THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE FREED US, THE TARGET WAS TO ARREST ME TODAY.”
— Delta State Coordinator, Obidient Movement.
Despite the intimidation, threats and attempts to silence him, @emerurefavour2 stood firm and gave Obidients in Delta State the courage and moral strength to resist intimidation.
Leadership is not measured by words alone; it is demonstrated through courage, conviction and the willingness to stand with the people, even in difficult moments.
Today, he demonstrated what it truly means to lead by example.
Meet the Delta State Coordinator of the Obidient Movement — a man who refuses to be intimidated into silence.

MR PRESIDENT, OBI IS COMING TO STOP THE EROSION OF NIGERIA’S COMMONWEALTH — NDC
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken careful note of President Bola Tinubu’s swipe at Mr. Peter Obi over the erosion menace in Anambra State. But we want to remind the President that the mission of the Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Peter Obi and his running mate Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is much bigger: to stop the rapid erosion of Nigeria’s commonwealth.
Obi-Kwankwaso mission is to address the growing contradiction between the gains expected from fuel subsidy removal, Mr. President’s seemingly one week, new loan and the persistent underfunding of national budgets.
Nigerians deserve to know what has happened to the promised fiscal benefits of subsidy removal, particularly against the backdrop of the administration’s frequent borrowing, increased revenue generation, poor debt-service-revenue-ratio and inadequate funding of critical public services like health and education.
Obi/Kwankwaso will not allow Nigeria to continue borrowing at an alarming rate, without corresponding benefits, while citizens endure worsening poverty, unemployment, insecurity and declining purchasing power.
Let’s look at the financial records of the two former governors - Mr. Obi left the equivalent of $500 million in investment as well as local and foreign currency, including $156 million in dollar-denominated bonds when he left office in 2014 in Anambra State. In contrast, available Debt Management Office figures put Lagos State’s external debt at approximately $190.43 million at the end of 2007, when Mr. Tinubu handed over to his successor.
Apart from that, Mr. Tinubu aided the erosion of Lagos public finance by signing into law the pension law, granting former governors and deputies, including himself life time pensions, equivalent to 100% of the basic salary of the incumbent governor, houses in Lagos and Abuja, multiple vehicles, furniture allowance, utility allowance, entertainment allow, free medical care, house maintenance allowance, domestic staff provision, and other ridiculous benefits. The package was so outrageous that a successive governor was compelled to slightly review the law. In contrast, Mr. Obi never set up pension for governors in Anambra State
The Obi/Kwankwaso ticket offers Nigeria the golden opportunity to make fundamental departure from President Tinubu’s borrowing-dependent and erosion of public funds model of governance towards Obi/Kwankwaso prudent management of public resources, accountability, productive investment and measurable improvements in citizens’ welfare.
The debt-dependent economic model without accountability contributed to the decline and weakening of powerful empires and nations throughout history. From the Ottoman Empire and 19th-century Egypt to modern-day countries such as Argentina and Zambia, history offers repeated warnings about the dangers of excessive borrowing, unsustainable debt and poor fiscal management. If not stopped, Nigeria is in serious trouble.
And of course Peter Obi bravely tackled gully erosion in Anambra State. Obi helped attract and launch the World Bank Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) to the state. He mandated new state roads to include proper drainage connected to safe discharge points and executed local flood controls, such as concrete drains in Adazi Nnukwu, Amawbia, Umuoji, etc. He regularly lobbied the federal government for ecological intervention funds with accountability.
The bottom line is that Obi-Kwankwaso mission is about stopping fiscal recklessness and the erosion/decimation of Nigeria’s commonwealth, while providing economic opportunities for Nigerians today and for future generations.
Signed

What a moment. What a message. What a statement!
You cannot manufacture political acceptance, rent crowds, or intimidate the conscience of a people into surrendering their convictions.
The Nigerian people are now speaking, and those who care to listen should listen carefully. The people are not confused about the Nigeria they desire.
You can campaign for Tinubu, but you cannot command the people to forget Peter Obi.
2027 is not going to be business as usual. The people are awake, and the political establishment must come to terms with that reality...Rig &...!

I am profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by reports of violence directed at members and coordinators of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement in Delta State.
I unequivocally condemn the attacks against our coordinators, supporters, and fellow citizens who were merely exercising their democratic rights. Political violence has no place in a democracy and can never be justified. No political aspiration is worth the life of a Nigerian, and no dispute should be resolved through intimidation, physical attacks, or the destruction of property.
It is particularly troubling that, at a time when Nigeria urgently needs responsible leadership, some individuals continue to believe that political influence can be secured through thuggery, fear, and violence. Political authority should be attained through persuasion and the trust of the people, not by intimidating opponents.
I urge the Government and the security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into these attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face justice, irrespective of their political affiliations. The safety and security of our members must be assured.
We will not be intimidated or silenced, nor will we relinquish our democratic space to violence. Our response will remain peaceful, lawful, and determined.
Nigeria belongs to every one of us. No political party or individual has exclusive ownership of the democratic space. Every Nigerian is entitled to organise, gather, express their views, and freely elect their leaders. Our nation needs constructive ideas rather than intimidation, responsible leadership rather than thuggery, and democratic contest rather than political violence.
I stand in solidarity with everyone affected in Delta State. A New Nigeria must be founded on justice, liberty, peace, and respect for the dignity of every citizen.
May God bless Delta State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

ENGAGING WITH THE UNITED NATIONS: UPHOLDING DEMOCRACY AND THE PEOPLE’S MANDATE
After I met with the European Union Commission yesterday, 5th November 2026, I welcomed a United Nations delegation to the Obidient House in Abuja for a courtesy visit.
Our discussions addressed pressing concerns facing Nigeria, including the current cost-of-living crisis, the well-being of our citizens, and the credibility of the upcoming elections.
I also used the occasion to urge the international community to uphold Nigerians’ democratic right to choose their leaders peacefully in the next elections through a free, fair, and credible process that genuinely reflects the will of the people. The international community must remain steadfast in protecting this democratic principle.
I appreciate the United Nations delegation, led by Leonardo Santos Simão, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique and currently the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for West Africa, as well as his team, for their visit and the productive exchange.
