Turns out we can predict the future
excited for what comes next
Our prediction for this Prime Day comes from Mimi, our newest prediction model at Social Intelligence Labs.
Mimi simulates 60 million people using census data and enriched persona data from other public sources and social media. We have been building Mimi over the past few months and are excited to test it publicly for the first time.
Overall, here are our thoughts:
A smaller event than Prime Day. About $109 per household, roughly a quarter below June's $143, with orders around $47 (June: $48). About half of households place two or more orders (June: 63%).
Awareness high, enthusiasm modest. 91% knew about the event, but only about one in three (32%) shopped mainly because of it, and 56% are very or extremely satisfied with the deals.
Careful shoppers. About one in three (32%) are more cautious because of the economy, and 54% compare prices across
retailers.
Early holiday shopping, light AI use. About one in four (23%) buy holiday gifts; about one in five (21%) use AI shopping tools
We will report back when Numerator's data comes out in a couple of weeks.

Venturemaxxing Night Recap
140+ VCs & LPs, one warehouse turned into a museum: legendary brags duct-taped into gold frames, the fleece vest, the holy trinity of every VC bookshelf, a few dead startup toys (RIP Juicero), and the iPhone with ventureβs most brutal text βweβre oversubscribedβπ
Thanks to everyone who filled the gallery with aura and to our co-host @VCBrags, and a very special thanks to our partners @sydecario, @harmonic_ai, @Google, @Stifel, and @GoldenEggMediaβ€οΈ

VCs are hilarious
I cannot think of another profession that reaches out repeatedly and aggressively follows up to find a time to "trade notes"
And then has an EA schedule meetings 6 to 8 weeks out

Everyone is sick of generic AI, including us.
Gamma was the first AI presentation platform to reach real scale. But now that AI tools are everywhere, everything looks the same.
Earlier this summer, we came to an uncomfortable conclusion: without a step change in visual variety, Gammaβs output would look and feel too similar to all the other AI tools. The entire point of a presentation is to help someone "get" your idea, to see it as unique and do something with it.
We started over. Today we're shipping Gamma 5, the biggest product overhaul in our company's history.
We rebuilt Gamma to create presentations that actually look like you and your brand. Your teams can design anything they dream up, following your brand's aesthetic or something entirely new, with every frontier and image model under the hood. And the same goes for your docs, social assets, and graphics.
We revamped our agent, design tools, editing, import, export, connectors, and more.
Get your ideas out there.

I'm hiring for our Talent Engineering team at @spacexai!
Looking for people who love working with exceptional humans as much as (or more than) building product. A few things that we look for:
1) Youβre an engineer who can build things to get the job done, being able to 80/20 most things.
2) You care about people and you've been making intros, supporting founders, and bringing great people together for years, without calling it a job. Your skillset aligns with that of a VC (and you might be one someday!)
3) Youβre naturally magnetic in communities. People take your calls because you genuinely love to help and care about them!
4) You donβt wait to be told what to do, you've been a go-getter and can get shit done.
If any of these resonate and you want to be a critical part to the inner workings of a frontier lab, then I'd love to meet!
π Warm intros through a mutual otherwise feel free to email me at [email protected]!

Thrilled to announce @getOuterSignal has raised a $22M Series A.
A year ago, @zachzelner and I saw an opportunity to revolutionize personalization. We spun out a tool heβd built into a company, and got to work. In the time since, weβve gone from a few early customers to thousands, from 2 team members to 25, and created an entirely new frontier for how businesses can understand and market to their customers.
Our team has built a robust platform, trained internal models, conducted industry-leading research, and onboarded thousands of companies weβre proud to work with.
So, this raise is meant for one thing only: to keep shipping, faster than ever, the very best products for the consumer businesses we power.
Ecom, hospitality, mobile apps and beyond: OuterSignal is here to supercharge the way companies connect with consumers.
As founders, weβre humbled, grateful, and truly just getting started.
Try us for free at OuterSignal.com.
And if youβre an A-player ready to work on something ambitious and enduring, we want to meet you. DMβs open.
Onward π
