Evidently, there's a lot of people that expect me to hate others blindly. Yeah, sorry. I'm not capable of that. It's very difficult for me to genuinely hate someone if they haven't done anything reprehensible. Conversely, I think a lot of you really need to chill with the hate. It's not healthy. Sincerely, y'all need to lighten up.

Making a pointless drama pile distracts from more pressing matters and is a waste of time. It’s about effective use of time, energy and resources.

Sorry to quote you, but I think this is a good opportunity to respond to kill two birds with one stone. I think there's two things that might explain parts of why I have the perspective I do on the Ember situation. Because I'm also trying to understand what I don't get. 1. I had a friend many years ago that everyone assumed was female because of their name and they never refuted it. We were a friends group composed of fans of a streamer. After a while, they eventually decided to come clean to everyone one-by-one by revealing their voice. I already had an inkling and they'd only been a good friend to me up until that point, so when they came clean to me I approached it in a very nonchalant, accepting manner. "Okay, you're a guy. That doesn't change anything, bud." And I can remember hearing how terrified he was over vc. He had no bad intentions. He just kinda went with the flow of everyone's assumptions. I imagine Ember's position was very similar. 2. Every job I've ever worked I've mostly been around and have gotten along with my female coworkers more than the male ones. Not entirely certain why. I think it's because I don't drink, smoke, go outside, or watch sports. I usually just hang around quietly and keep to myself during down times. Introvert and all that. Anyway, because I was mostly around women I ended up hearing a LOT of very sexual stuff. Not because I was in the background eavesdropping, either. I would be right there and would react with my face a lot, which typically makes them laugh. So I'm pretty jaded in regards to that. And I guess a third reason is I've just been on the internet long enough that I'm jaded overall? Like... I understand WHY people would be upset, but I'm... just not. This is the best explanation I have for that. I would probably need a psychoanalyst to pinpoint precisely why I don't care. Anyway. If anything comes out about Ember that proves that they did anything malicious, I'll come out and condemn it.

I’ll be real I haven’t watched his response yet. I like you quite a bit, so I don’t plan on unfollowing you. I just think you’ve gotten this situation very wrong is all.

I desire levity after everything from the few days. Y'all see the finale of Mystery Skulls Animated? After the long wait, I honestly expected it to be longer. Everything kinda happened too fast for the emotional moments to really land. It was still good, though.

I'm far from an eloquent person, so here's a post that expresses my thoughts on the matter better than I can produce myself.
Okay, now that I’m home and new information has come out, where do I stand? Well, pretty much in the same fucking spot. I still think Strawb is 100% a snake, and apparently, she’s been a pretty shitty friend to others as well, putting some of them in very difficult positions for no reason. I said yesterday that even if it turned out Ember was a guy, IT WOULDN’T CHANGE A DAMN THING FOR ME. Why? Because I’m not a parasocial retard. That’s why. I mainly know of Ember through Elite Dangerous as a Fuel Rat, and I’d still have no problem flying with them in game sometime. A lot of Ember’s points, opinions, and stances don’t suddenly become invalid based on what’s swinging between their legs. The needle doesn’t budge for me. If anything, kudos to Ember for handling this situation as well as they have so far. And if Ember wants to be a babiniku, cool. That’s their business. Oh, and I also looked over the synopsis of that old fictional story everyone keeps losing their minds over. Fifty Shades is Worse in my mind. And guess what? I STILL DON’T FUCKING CARE. IT’S FICTION. Now, with all that said, I do have one issue with how Ember apparently handled things, and I want to make a very clear distinction here. I’m NOT talking about streaming. From what I’ve seen, Ember’s streams were pretty straightforward. I haven’t personally seen evidence of catfishing within that context, and simply presenting as a female character online isn’t inherently wrong. Where I draw the line is potentially misleading people in private interactions. Collaborating with other creators, particularly women but also men, having private voice calls, and exchanging DMs introduces a different dynamic if those people are operating under an assumption about your identity that you’ve knowingly encouraged but haven’t been honest about. And before someone twists my words, I AM NOT ACCUSING EMBER OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT OR CLAIMING ANYTHING INAPPROPRIATE HAPPENED. I’m saying that if someone knowingly misrepresents themselves to gain access to private conversations, personal trust, romantic attention, or situations that another person would not have consented to had they known the truth, that’s a legitimate issue. There’s a difference between playing a character online and deliberately deceiving someone in a personal relationship or private conversations. That distinction matters to me. But I’m not going to assume that happened simply because Ember presented as female. Someone’s gender presentation alone is not evidence of manipulation. If documented evidence comes out showing that Ember deliberately exploited someone’s trust or boundaries, then I will absolutely call that out, and I will give no quarter. I have standards, and I apply those standards regardless of who the person is. But I want actual evidence. Not rumors, not assumptions, not selectively cropped screenshots, and not another internet game of telephone. I hope Ember was completely straightforward during today’s stream and that nothing comes out later showing deliberate deception or misconduct. Until then, I’m not moving based on speculation. And none of this suddenly excuses how Strawb handled the situation, either. Two things can be true at once. Ember can deserve legitimate criticism for their own actions, if supported by evidence, while Strawb can still deserve criticism for the timing, methods, and treatment of someone who supported her for a long time. Because end of the day, she made a lucky guess, still nothing backed it up besides Ember on stream saying its true. One doesn’t magically cancel out the other. Honestly, this entire situation has been a massive pile of internet bullshit, and it’s another reminder of why I keep people online at arm’s length. people wonder why I’m such a hard ass about trust and why I demand receipts before buying into someone’s accusations. The 2 people above This is exactly fucking why Unless something substantial and verifiable comes out, Im done

Strab just now on Celestium's stream. She will never take accountability for any single thing. I hate this attitude so much, man.

Listen, I can fully understand Strawb having reservations about confronting Ember and then feeling justified for her call-outs because they've admitted to being a man. But at the very least should could admit that she handled this poorly. Which I think pretty fair.

Why? Why is Strawb choosing to do this? What sparked this is the "revelation" that Ember uses a voice changer. Which she's been been honest about. There's no proof that Ember is a man or trans, but even if she was why's it matter so much that she's now subject to your scrutiny? She's been one of the biggest supporters of both Strawb and Rev. I doubt she'd have done anything to slight them. Nevermind the fact that we have this whole debacle with Kirsche going on. I suppose that was only big enough to get everyone united for 24 hours? How annoying that is. Putting her work on blast is a bit of a low blow, too. It's a very strange story, sure. But it's not something that was necessary to put under a spotlight for everyone to criticize. I don't get it, man.

Ember has come out on stream and has confirmed being a man IRL. I stand behind what I've said in regards to that. I don't care and don't understand why it matters so much. I still view Strawb's actions as uncalled for.

This ridiculous hate brigade against Kirsche is one of the most absurd things I've had this misfortune of bearing witness to over the last few years. Kirsche is genuinely one of the kindest people out there. But she's not afraid to speak her mind and call things out. That's what all these people are afraid of. She speaks the truth and can do so in a way that is engaging, captivating, and draws attention to her. For better or for worse. So they constantly lie. They berate her. Create strawmen. Take things out of context. Call her all the buzzwords that I'm sure none of you need me to list out. All because she cares to make enough of a difference to make things better for everyone. They continue to try to being her down with these labels of things she's not because all it takes to bring them down is calling them what they are. They're evil, crazy, freaks that only care about themselves and their egos. Misery is company and they bathe in it like it's a natural hot spring. Let's not forget that Kirsche was forced to leave her home and literally bunker herself up out of concern for her safety. You are not the good guy if all you do is lie. You are not in the right if go after the livelihood of someone you disagree with. You are not better than someone because you fight for a cause that fueled by hate. But keep doing what you're doing. Keep uniting people against you. There's been far too much of a split as of late, and it's good for there to be a reminder of who the common enemy is. You're downfall cannot come swiftly enough.

This flyanew person who is attacking Kirsche and Leaflit by calling them the KKK is an Erika Kirk truther and an anti-ICE weirdo. The person is also likely to be trans as well as their voice sounds like the "feminized" trick that transgender women do. The person is also generally pro trans in their comments. He claims to be "gay", but based on this is likely another one of those "transgender women" who claims to be a lesbian.

Kirsche was lied to, and told that it was the sponsors that threatened to pull out. In reality, they literally just conspired to do it in their official public Discord server discord.com/channels/3649463… It was absolutely not the the sponsors It was the organziers/activists
Honorable Chatters, unfortunately I won't be at Youmacon this year I was really looking forward to this one, but it came down to sponsor concerns If you bought a badge for my panel, you can email [email protected] by noon ET on Wednesday, October 28 with your order number, name, and email for a refund. Thank you all for the support
