I think a lot of people don't understand the gravity of the situation as much as they should.
This does not happen. This NEVER happens. Games and studios do not just simply come back from the dead and from end of service for their flagship game and they certainly do not do it in this tiny amount of time.
This was never going to happen...until the community willed it into existence.
Quite literally, guardians made their own fate for Destiny.

MoT numbers yes but the social movement was an actual thing that made noise at a level that was surprising
