Very pleased to hear that my work at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Greenwich which documents the I Wish project with patients, parents and staff, has been labelled. We will celebrate the installation once it’s safe to. Thank you for all you do @LG_NHS. instagram.com/p/B_NQCOBF7eU/…

What a relief! Lula’s unexpected victory gives hope for the Amazon. He has dramatically cut felling, while Bolsonaro’s plans would doubtless have taken it past its tipping point, ensuring total eventual destruction with huge global consequences. euronews.com/2026/10/19/amaz…

Seems like a good time to read this. Surely it’s best to have some quiet reflection and to educate oneself rather than jump into a highly complex debate with too little knowledge.
“This is, in general, a hard subject to write about, because you know you’re going to be attacked for certain things long before you even write one word. So I think the question is, does that make you timid or does that make you more bold?” theparisreview.org/blog/2026…

Farmers opposed beaver reintroduction in the UK over fears their dams could flood fields and damage crops. But during the heatwave one farmer said his best asset: a family of beavers who have built a reservoir on his land that contains 3m litres of water. theguardian.com/world/2026/a…

Jackdaw: a decision for last century. climateuncensored.com/jackda… A hastily drafted post following the UK Govt’s decision to approve further drilling & production at the Jackdaw gas field in the N.Sea. Please excuse typos, non-sequiturs, etc - I wanted to get the post online today.

I saw Derek vs Derek last night and cried and laughed. But there is hope. As in this article below. “Projects like this fill me with optimism,” said Hulme. “If we can achieve this in just two years, the sky is the limit.” theguardian.com/environment/…

On the same day as approving new oil and gas fields.... The Labour Government need to take the climate crisis seriously and stop selling the rest of us down the (polluted) river.

Well done Green-led Lambeth Council! I remember visiting here with @pete556 in 2021(?) when I was @TheGreenParty co-leader and he was a local Green councillor campaigning to save the estate. Now he's Housing Cabinet member and he followed through and saved it 👏 Bravo, Pete!
Residents fought for years to save the Cressingham Gardens and Central Hill estates, and now, thanks to them, they're saved from demolition. Now, Lambeth Council can focus on bringing those homes back into use.

The breakdown of our ecosystems is a national security threat. We must put restoring nature at the heart of government decision-making. So I'm delighted that @TheGreenParty members backed my conference motion on the need for a Nature, Biodiversity and Security Act. greenparty.org.uk/2026/10/03…

Labour just don't get it. They don't get how scared people are with extreme weather becoming our new normal. We need voices in parliament that will force them to take wildfires seriously, not quietly shirk responsibility.

Kelvin Shewry of Creekside Educational Trust, said the waterway had been ignored or “treated as a constraint to be managed” . He called for “biodiversity enhancement, habitat creation and river restoration, not simply the mitigation of harm”. 👏🏽 greenwichwire.co.uk/2026/09/…

I'll be submitting comments about the lack of information around air quality on Silvertown Tunnel approach roads. I have already asked TfL why little reference, if at all, to monitoring of PM 2.5 particles which are the *most* important health issue here @Royal_Greenwich @WHO
Next London Plan consultation closes 5pm Thurs 15 October | We wrote to @MayorofLondon complaining about his #AirQuality Policy #GHR10 in #NextLondonPlan - worse than 2011 version! @metecoban92 replied politely. Submit your complaints here: consult.london.gov.uk/london…

I've long thought that nature decline cannot be viewed solely as an environmental issue. Increasingly it's a threat to our national security. In this week's EDP, I've written about my work in Parliament to get a crucial report published and for the Government to finally treat the risk of ecosystem collapse with the seriousness it deserves. eadt.co.uk/news/26552335.nat…
