Marcotulio Melendez Diaz, 42, was ordered released from ICE custody by a Clinton-appointed judge earlier this year after he had been arrested during Operation Metro Surge.

Minnesota’s lawyer watchdogs just ruled that a county attorney can publicly spin a pending criminal case on X—and it doesn’t even merit an investigation.
Mary Moriarty commented on contested facts in an ICE assault case her office is prosecuting. The OLPR said it’s fine because it matched the charging document and “responded to media.”
That’s not protecting fair trials. That’s green-lighting prosecutors to shape the jury pool before the first witness is called.
The rules exist to keep the courtroom sacred.
When the enforcers shrug, the people lose.
