Without Diminishment. So proud of each and every member of this adopted family, who continue to set the bar higher for what’s possible in B.C. and across our movement. It’s been the great pleasure of my career to have the opportunity to even try to keep up. Onward. @NVanCaroline @GeoffRuss3 @kateemarland @Margare7a @colewhogan @EABeauregard

"If given a mandate to govern on Saturday, the B.C. Conservatives must take action to root out the deep intellectual and ideological rot that has permeated all of our institutions. Doing so will require more than minor reforms or efforts to put more sympathetic figures in charge of these bodies" @kateemarland @WDiminishment
How the B.C. NDP created a human rights regime to advance their ideological goals and why there is ample precedent for dismantling it today in @WDiminishment Political and social groups champion ideas and values that align with their goals and act as tools to gain or maintain power. Nowhere is this more evident than in the B.C. NDP’s dogged commitment to the B.C. human rights regime. How comfortable are British Columbians with consolidating adjudicative power, backed by substantial monetary penalties, in the hands of a few unelected bureaucrats? This question demands an answer when considering our human rights regime. Abolishing the Human Rights Tribunal and the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner would not be unprecedented in our province’s history, and the suggestion that these actions be taken should not be treated as something beyond possibility. open.substack.com/pub/withou…

Had an excellent time at @cardusca tonight for the English launch of @EABeauregard’s book, Anti-Civilization. The book is fascinating, and extremely relevant to current day political trends. Also a pleasure to hear Mr. Beauregard in conversation with @DrMichaelBonner~!

The New West Progressives made the restoration and protection of the city’s long-standing heritage and traditional events a priority, with its backers motivated by a desire to strengthen and promote local history and identity. For the first time in a long time, one of B.C.’s oldest cities will have a government that champions its imperial past while promising to correct its troubled present. Contrary to what many people claim, the ‘culture war’ has a place at all levels of government, and centre-right politicians can win in cities, even in New Westminster. People also dislike the unilateral dismantling of their history and heritage. Daniel Fontaine’s victory came in part by addressing those factors, with a responsible and professional attitude that did not frighten undecided voters. There is a great lesson here for the right as a whole in B.C. My latest in @WDiminishment, in salute of British Columbia's old capital city. withoutdiminishment.com/publ…

'In the only televised debate of British Columbia’s provincial election, Premier David Eby tried to make it clear that he loves our province. Are we sure about that? We know there are people who come from afar to make a home here and go on to do incredible things for B.C. Names like Trevor Linden, W.A.C. Bennett and others are all enshrined in the pantheon of West Coast heroes. If Eby’s record is any indication, he loves what B.C. can do for him. He uses provincial taxes to fund his political experiments and the premier’s office as a pulpit, while milking the treasury to save a buck in his personal life'. Link Below.
