Prevention and care for noncommunicable diseases should reach everyone, whoever they are and wherever they live. Underserved communities, people living with disability, people who are unemployed and migrants face extra barriers to care. Services designed with them in mind leave fewer people behind. 📢 The Dili Declaration on Human Resources for Health: Equity in Specialized Care has been adopted at #RC79! 👏🏾 Health Ministers of the WHO South-East Asia Region have committed to strengthening the health workforce and ensuring that all people, including those living in rural, remote and underserved areas, have access to quality specialized health care. The Declaration recognizes that while access to quality specialized care is critical to achieving universal health coverage, it is far too often limited for those most in need. A shared commitment to health equity, stronger health systems and #HealthForAll. 🌏 who.int/southeastasia/news/d… #WHOSEARO #PublicHealth #SpecializedCare #Equity @MoHFW_INDIA @MoHmv @MoH_SriLanka @pr_moph @MdSTimorLeste @DrTedros @WHO

South-East Asia is leading the world in routine immunization coverage. 🌏💉 At the Celebrating Immunization Success in the WHO South-East Asia Region side-event, hosted by WHO South-East Asia and @gavi, Dr Nilesh Buddha, Officer-in-Charge, WHO South-East Asia, highlighted a remarkable achievement for the Region. The latest WHO and @UNICEF estimates tell a remarkable story: South-East Asia now has the highest routine immunization coverage of all six WHO regions. The message was clear: when South-East Asia advances, the world advances with it. Behind every percentage point is a child protected from illness, disability or death. Behind every vaccine are health workers, strong health systems, reliable supply chains, community trust and political commitment. But the work is not finished. Vaccines remain indispensable during emergencies, humanitarian crises and natural disasters, when vulnerable communities face the greatest risks. @WHO thanks Gavi for its longstanding partnership with Member States and WHO to advance equity, country leadership and protection for vulnerable communities. #Immunization #VaccinesWork #HealthForAll
