Teachers: Phony Demand for Library ‘Expertise’
When they “voiced concerns” over age-inappropriate school-library books, Crystal Marull & Vicki Baggett recount at The Hill, they “were vilified” — even after one of them earned a “library media specialist certification” and challenged one book on “linguistic terms.” Despite the books’ abundant sexual content, both women suffered “tremendous” backlash, though “we held every credential anyone could demand.” The librarians’ mantra — “trust the experts” on school books — proved a “farce”; the profession’s leaders commit to “a specific conclusion” and pretend all disagreement is “anti-intellectualism.” The even “uglier” message: “Defer to the American Library Association, or risk consequences.” If the ALA can “do that to us, what hope is there” for parents “with no credentials at all?”"

“What in the world are we doing?”
A Texas activist is calling attention to school library books containing graphic violence, suicide, murder and sexual abuse.
Some are even on a Texas prison list of prohibited books.
Parents are asking: Why are these books in schools, writes @emilywilks_8

In education, ‘trust the experts’ is a scam to silence even expert dissent.

🚨 REMOVED!!!!
The book that I read from in Palm Beach Schools is officially removed. The title of the book is: Let's Talk About It! I appreciate the board chair for removing this book along with two other books that Bonnie Wallace read from.
This is a good start, but a terrible conclusion. The board chair promised us to remove all of the books, and as I speak hundreds of other books are still on the bookshelves in this District.
Why is the school district holding on smut books for kids?
Excellent shout out to WLA’s own Bonnie Wallace.

Bonnie Wallace from World Library Association!
Today, I held a press conference with Bonnie Wallace, a true fighter for Texas children.
There is a real problem with dirty books in our public school libraries in Texas. We passed SB 13 to fix it, but school districts across the state aren't following the law.
This next session, the Texas Senate will pass legislation to ensure our public schools follow the law and remove dirty books once and for all.

This is a stunning press conference.
Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick recently interviewed Bonnie Wallace (on the @protect_txchild board) on his podcast, which led him to hold this presser highlighting the problem of explicit books still in school libraries.
Bonnie Wallace is a powerful voice for Christ, informing the public about these books that are illegal in TX, yet most schools have not removed them.
This is not just a Texas problem. It’s a national problem, which is why @AmericasWomenhq has a library books initiative. We work with libraries, legislators, and the public to address inappropriate books on the shelves for children. Read more: americaswomen.org/protecting…
Bonnie does the Lord's work boots on the ground. America’s Women is blessed to have her mentorship.

EXPOSED: Austin’s $125 MILLION dollar library is completely OVERRUN with the homeless.
The last time I came to this library it was so terrifying that I knew I had to come back to expose how dangerous it is for families and children.
Within 2 minutes of visiting, I got stuck on an elevator with a homeless man who was clearly on drugs.
The city of Austin has completely abandoned their duties and the homeless have taken over every floor of this six story, 200,000 sq ft library:
Congratulations Bruce! Follow Bruce, a member of World Library Association, at @Brucepatriot3.
Here the librarians bemoan the effectiveness and long term persistence of Bruce in applying Florida law to school libraries so that children are effectively served by the law.
Bravo!
No one can even read that post and type a reply as shown in under a minute. Something’s up.
Is it collusion? X violations?
Like the ALA Florida group broke the news then ALA’s Kelly Jensen immediately somehow used it to add the name to further smear Bruce as she does a lot.

“The book stays. The citizen gets removed.
“School boards should not get to keep the message on the shelf and remove the messenger from the room.”
Case is about Bonnie Wallace of World Library Association!
🚨 BREAKING: FEDERAL LAWSUIT FILED
Remnant Law sued Houston ISD in federal court for calling the cops and removing a citizen who quoted HISD's own library book at a public meeting.
HISD wants kids to read it. HISD doesn't want adults to hear it.
That's not decorum. That's viewpoint discrimination.
Mrs. Bonnie Wallace stepped to the podium at an HISD Board meeting to speak on a posted agenda item about library content. Standing with her was Dr. Rick Scarborough, president of Recover America and a 40+ year leader in the Houston Christian community.
She warned the room her remarks would include explicit language and suggested any children leave. Then she read — word for word — from a book HISD bought with taxpayer dollars and placed in 3 school libraries.
The presiding officer cut her off. After she sat down, three officers escorted her out of the building and off district property.
Dr. Scarborough then took the podium and told the Board that in over 50 years of ministry, he had never seen a Biblical pastor support giving children access to books so explicit they are banned in Texas prisons.
The book stays. The citizen gets removed.
School boards should not get to keep the message on the shelf and remove the messenger from the room.
We will see HISD in court.
