Fort Worth is developing a framework to move away from the 85th percentile speed limit rule for roads currently posted at 35, 40, and 45 mph. However, they will only reduce the limit by 5 mph.
The Texas House of Representatives passed a law allowing cities to lower speeds of residential streets without the individualized process, introduced by State Representatives @BucyForTexas and @AnaHdzTx, in the 88th legislature, but the bill died in the Senate.
