My friend made a great post here …but his hopes of this being a ‘lesson learned’ for this woman are ill-founded. Getting people ‘unbrainwashed’ can’t be done with confrontation and logic. These deluded women are in a religious cult (secular humanism has a religious structure even though it’s not technically a religion). Logic will not work with cult members. They must repeatedly be asked questions that help them conclude the answers themselves. When you confront members of a cult with facts and logic… you’re dead in the water because they’ve been brainwashed that you are their bitter enemy. It’s questions and patience. It’s very difficult to get them out.

There's now confirmation that 2 Ole Miss students have died in the last few days from having their party favors laced with fentanyl or cyclomorphine (10x stronger than fentanyl) or something about Kratom...?... Whatever the case, our country is ENCOURAGING an OD epidemic according to the 'you encourage what you tolerate' rule. Why are we encouraging this? Almost always a China/mexican cartel problem on the supply side ...and a self-control problem on the demand side. The problem stops overnight if people would knock off their (typically) benign black-market habits. As for the supply side, at what point are we gonna consider HR 1238, which would authorize privateers to kill the suppliers in Mexico? Civilians (mostly SOF veterans) would be authorized by the president to eliminate these sons of b#tches in Mexico. They'd probably ultimately be incentivized by the windfall loot of the cartels. This is how we put pressure on the British Navy during the revolutionary war. "but wait!! wouldn't civilians get killed?" "hold on! Isn't that a violation of Mexico's sovereignty??" Yes and yes. We shouldn't take that lightly. But ... neither should we take our HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS DEAD from ODs lightly either. 70K died from ODs in 2025 alone. Compare 100,000s dead from ODs to the 3,000 dead on 9/11. The latter launched a $10 trillion, 20 year war in the middle east. The former has launched strongly-worded speeches from Congress. Pathetic

AI pics like this are dangerous. Think of the reputational damage they can cause. If I were a member of the Epstein family, I’d be furious that people might actually believe he had ties to LSU.

Too many sports have become insufferable to watch. I don’t blame players and coaches for flopping. It gives you an edge for a W. Breaking the incentive for flopping in soccer or basketball or football is not enough. You have disincentivize acting like a pansy somehow. Medical evaluation after flop… no legitimate injury —> team $ fine …?.. just throwing bad ideas out for brainstorming purposes . So undignified , so bad for the souls of young impressionable men to even witness such a thing.

This chart reminded me of one my pastor’s best lines: “truth without kindness is mean. Kindness without truth is meaningless.” What are the most common ‘kind lies’ that are making our society dysfunctional?

Proud of @usahockey! Congrats on your 1st #WinterOlympicGames victory over a repressive communist nation since 1980!

There’s an incredibly useful life-rule that helps you predict someone’s future. Almost everyone knows it: ‘Look at the company a person keeps, and so goes the person.’ There’s another prediction rule that’s as (more?) powerful … but fewer people know about it. It’s also discussed in the Bible, and it’s not nearly as obvious. Can anyone name this ‘life-predictor’ before I tell you? James 3 says this tiny thing sets the course of your life the way a rudder controls a ship. That means if your life sucks or is chaotic in any given area … you probably have to fix this tiny ‘thing.’ If an alien landed on earth, and you showed him the 100 ton rudder for the Titanic, and then showed him the 50,000 ton ship itself, he’d laugh in your face if you told him this rudder could control that behemoth. We are like that alien... we don’t believe how important this thing is. Ok …what is the ’tiny thing?’ (drumroll…) The WORDS we use. (aka the ‘tongue’ in biblical nomenclature) Yes, the words we hear repeatedly (and thus get in the habit of thiking with ourselves) control our destiny. They shape the WAY we think. They are software for how we filter what’s important in our lives. There are numerous psychological studies that support this concept. Where it gets REALLY interesting is when ‘loaded language’ gets dovetailed into this reality. Loaded language (ie language that is emotionally charged, and has different meanings depending on who’s using it) that is used repeatedly is arguably the most effective way to steer entire countries. The alien in us is tempted to laugh here, but laugh it this at your own peril. Loaded language doesn’t precisely describe anything, but it does shape how we frame things, prioritize things, and how we assign moral weight to things. Loaded language tells you who the heroes are, who the villains are, and who deserves outrage. PSYOP practitioners in govts, media, PR firms etc don’t need to control what you think if they can influence the language you think with. I have a chapter in my book about loaded language, and it will help you and your loved ones become more immune to the cheap vocab tricks. Link in bio:

I sometimes think about the pivotal moments in American history that acted as great social sorting mechanisms: Whig or Tory? Union or Confederacy? Bad Bunny or Kid Rock?

We just transitioned from an empire that ‘acts like a republic’ to an empire that dropped the pretense

I couldn't be more impressed with Georgia's qb Gunner Stockton. He has that special vinegar in him that you just can't teach. I read his wiki bio and it makes sense when you read about his grandfathers. The general shaping power of grandparents is insanely underrated.

Visual misrepresentation crimes are rampant. Can you spot this one?

Good news. If you wanted to explain the wonderful nature of being nonbinary with your middle-schooler, but find the conversation awkward... you can just watch Transformers: Earthspark with them on Netflix (rated for 7 year olds)
