Today the studio that inspired us closed it's doors. We told ourselves if they could do it so could we. A heartfelt thanks for the legacy @bioware left on the Edmonton game scene, we wouldn't be here without it. And all the best to those affected in whatever comes next!

youtu.be/suiU5b9tmoE?si=T6ai… One of my YouTube subscriptions put out this enlightening vid on (split-rate) land value taxation, something that I've personally been advocating for in my neck of the woods.

linkedin.com/pulse/nova-scot… There has been extensive coverage of the need for taxation reform at the national and regional levels lately, so I decided to chime in on the latter in this article. Comments and shares are welcome.

September 9, 1999. 27 years ago today, we launched @SEGA Dreamcast in the United States. We believed we were launching the future. And for a while, it felt like we were. Dreamcast may not have won the battle, but it left an extraordinary mark on gaming and on everyone fortunate enough to be part of it. I’m incredibly proud of what we created, and even more grateful for the people who made it happen. 27 years on, still dreaming. ❤️ #Dreamcast #Sega

Every gamer has a few titles they personally see themselves replaying once in a while. Personally, one such title is @RavenSoftware’s Singularity. Between its intriguing backdrop, taut pacing, and visceral combat, this hidden 2010 gem stands the test of time (heh) and then some.

Happy to unveil my new op-ed for the Chronicle Herald. Tackled the current state of Nova Scotia’s economic and business landscape, and how to make it more attractive to those wishing to invest their time, capital, and labor in it.

Replaying this gem by @Obsidian from the 360 days. Remains one of my favorite RPGs from that era, one boasting a peerlessly malleable plot that invites multiple playthroughs.

Got done reading Nova Scotia’s Lost Century by Ian Thompson. Great compact look at the province’s promising economic start, subsequent challenges, and ongoing comeback story. The @TimHoustonNS government has the golden opportunity to harness Nova Scotia’s resources and talents.

Decided to bust out my 360 and give one of @inXile’s earlier games another shot. I recall liking Hunted back in 2011. Playing it today makes me better appreciate how it fused ranged/melee combat loops with exploration bits across a tightly paced campaign. A hidden gem for sure.
