This was legit one of the coolest demo’s I’ve ever seen IRL. At the end they opened the hanger doors and did a live fire. @ianbrooke has killer stage presence.

Yesterday, we hosted a crowd of 300 to make three big announcements.
The audience included investors, customers, suppliers, government, press, family, and friends.
We unveiled:
1️⃣ The Aalo Pod, our 50 MWe nuclear power plant, purpose built for AI data centers.
2️⃣ The first full-scale prototype of Aalo-1, which we’ll be doing non-nuclear testing on in the coming months.
3️⃣ The Aalo Factory, which now is capable of building more prototype Aalo Pods, and soon, the real thing.
We still have a long road ahead of us before we achieve criticality, but these are major steps in the right direction.
We’re proud that this was all accomplished in the past 6 months, since we moved into our new Austin HQ (which was initially an empty 40,000 sqft shell).
We’ll be posting more photos and videos from the event soon, stay tuned!

Today @WeAreLegora (formerly Leya)(YC W24) launching in the US.
When @t_blom and I interviewed the founders of Legora for the @ycombinator Winter 24 batch, it was their second time interviewing for YC, and it was clear their ambition levels were different this time. They weren’t just going to win Sweden. They were going to take on the world.
At the batch kickoff, the other founders voted Legora one of the top three most likely to build a massive company and during the batch, they grew from $200k to nearly $900k in ARR—a crazy trajectory, even by YC standards.
Fifteen months later, they are the Legal AI leader in Europe with 70 employees and hundreds of law firms as customers. Today, they are also launching in the US with Goodwin as their launch partner. Goodwin is one of the leading US corporate law firms that has advised many, many YC companies over the years.
As part of the launch, they are opening their New York office, where CEO @MaxJunestrand will be based.
For a long time, the conventional wisdom was that lawyers didn’t buy much software. Law was seen as inherently manual. LLMs have changed that—but few companies are getting the product experience right. Legora is.

In the three short days since Clarity-1 launched, we have:
- Established first contact (sound up to for the 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒔 🥹)
- Transitioned to Protect Mode
- Successfully commissioned our VLEO bus hardware, confirmed by our mission data of Clarity-1 tracking Pretoria, South Africa

We successfully made first contact with Clarity-1 at 5:11 am MT, approximately 3 hours after our SpaceX deployment. Commands and telemetry are flowing; all systems nominal. 🗣️
