Zcash got this right in 2016: give miners time to join. Start rewards small. Let the network find its feet before the largest rewards arrive. Wcash’s slow start ends at block 40,000. Just 555 blocks left, roughly 12 hours at the target pace. Zcash’s original ramp took 20,000 blocks at 150 seconds each. Wcash uses 40,000 at 75 seconds. Ten years apart, both gave the slow launch about five weeks. Now Wcash is nearing the end of that ramp, mined alongside Zcash with the same Equihash work.
