Evidence from the Greek literary papyri suggests that, absent an original title/authorial attribution, there's a lack of uniformity in the transmission in this regard. None of that holds for the 4 Gospels, so why are they still regarded as anonymous?
Had a great conversation recently with @JoelBeeke on a range of topics related to the Puritans. Check it out! youtu.be/gL2Hc6cwdB4?si=MQWT…
Should Christians enjoy horror films? Can they even? I’m reminded of this useful conversation by @natemorganlocke on The Reformed Mythologist from a couple years ago that I found a helpful contribution to that conversation youtu.be/M4US51lzRVY?si=wvZq…

Is “Baptist retrieval theology” an oxymoron? No way…
Good questions invite good conversations.
What is theological retrieval?
Can Baptists practice responsible retrieval?
Have some taken retrieval too far?
We covered these questions in Episode 1 of Faculty Lounge with Drs. @pj_schreiner, @pjgurry, @drjohnmeade, @drandrewmking, @RonniKurtz, and @samuel_parkison as they think together about Theological Retrieval.

This is a fun conversation! @WesleyLHuff tells me why Joe Rogan & Diary of a CEO want to talk to him about Jesus.
In our latest Surprising Rebirth episode Wes also responds to the public conversation between Tom Holland and Peter J Williams on the Gospel birth narratives and evidence for the resurrection.

Have we found Noah's Ark? Archaeologist Dr. @ScottStripling3 scholar @WesleyLHuff and I ran the Durupinar site through ten tests.
0/10. Minus one for selling tours mid-dig.
Not authenticated. Change our minds.

This right here is why I am thoroughly unconvinced the Durupınar site is the historical Noah’s Ark.

Paul's citation of Psalm 14 (and seemingly other stuff) in Romans 3:9ff is fascinating for many reasons. Not the least of which is how the entire catena is found in the majority Greek tradition of Psalm 14[13]. Which raises all sorts of questions.

Dr. Beverley taught the apologetics course I took when I was in seminary. He was an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher. More than that he was both a long-time family and personal friend. Last month he texted me to tell me he was going to email me with a proposal, an academic article project he wanted to collaborate on. His death is a shock, but where he is now is no surprise.
Rest in peace Jim, and rise in glory.
My colleague and friend @BennyMacDonald interviewed @DrJordanBCooper for our denominations podcast series on the topic of Lutheranism. This is a good one.

It’s been a little bit since I posted sword related content.
The blade is from @dawson_knives, the shirt sent to me from @WestminsterTS, and the skills are courtesy of watching too many martial arts movies.
