Thank you @venture_center for hosting a wonderful and inspiring event where we had the opportunity to introduce our #ngFWA platform, Gigabit 1 (G1), to leading scientists and entrepreneurs, including CSIR Director General Dr Raghunath Mashelkar. @csir_ncl @premnathv6
Ever wondered why Flavin Adenine Dinculeotide (FAD) contains only Adenine, and not Guanine (FGD), Cytosine (FCD) or Uracil (FUD) instead? @ShahAteek and @yashwantk008 wondered too, and here we report the synthesis of FAD analogues, and their ability to catalyze redox reactions!
Efficient Chemical and Enzymatic Syntheses of FAD Nucleobase Analogues and Their Analysis as Enzyme Cofactors (Amrita B. Hazra and co-workers) @Whytamin @ShahAteek @yashwantk008 @SRohan3782S @IISERPune #ChemBioTalents onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…
Really fun conceptualizing this work with @yashwantk008 and @ShahAteek, and seeing them and @SRohan3782S work through it slowly but surely! And THANK YOU @ChemBioChem, @RubenRagg, @SaraogiIshu and @IISERPune for all the support! #ChemBioTalents
Congratulations Team @TaranaWireless! 🎊Awesome new office space in Pune for the even-more-awesome Tarana team! The opening event was made extra special by excellent food by @thegoodbutter team!
The celebration in Pune continued with an open-house at the new Tarana facility this week! This is a wonderful milestone for the members of #TeamTarana who have worked so hard to drive our product innovation over the years. What an awesome new workspace!

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join our group! Candidates with a strong background in synthetic chemistry and a passion for taking on exciting biological challenges are encouraged to apply. Please share!
Truly, a real pleasure to hear about the Hayashi lab’s pursuits in creating one-pot syntheses for some really complex molecules. Prof. Hayashi’s ingenuity in the craft of organic synthesis and his excellent storytelling was a treat for everyone at @IISERPune!
Pleasure to welcome Prof Hayashi from Tohuku University. His lab has been in the forefront of developing new asymmetric synthetic methodologies and total syntheses. He gave an outstanding lecture that we all enjoyed. @IISERPune @Whytamin
This past week, I had the opportunity to be part of the Millet science fest that the Life Sci Dept of Sophia college had organised, spearheaded by Tressa Jacob, a dear friend and professor there. The 1st yr BSc students made outstanding science posters using different millets!
A great start to the UN @IYM2023 International Year of Millets! And a fantastic way to learn about the importance of millets in health and sustainable ag in the face of climate change, and then use it for art in science! Way to go, Sophia college for women! ❤️

Incredibly proud and inspired by the announcement today by @PadmaAwards!!
Absolutely loving this delivery of how the tear-jerkingly cool biochemical reaction that produces propanethiol S-oxide upon slicing into an onion makes us cry, and what to do about it ❤️

Congratulations @AniketVartak21 and other recipients @IISERPune of the PMRF 2022 fellowship! Aniket proposes is to probe the biochemical mechanisms of the enzymes that are responsible for the differences between vitamin B12 and the other naturally occurring cobamide cofactors
That's another B(12)rilliant news from the @Whytamin lab.
✨
Congratulations @AniketVartak21 on the #PMRF 2022!

Vitamin B12 is one of Nature's largest small molecules. Can a simple methyl group matter to this giant? Well, it turns out, yes, it does! Here's how - authors.elsevier.com/a/1g3aY…. Well done, @yaminipmathur, and thanks @COSB_CRSB, @FujimoriLabUCSF, @nigel_scrutton for the opportunity!
