Can't wait to get there at 08.30, watch the lads have a hit in the nets, have a stupidly hot coffee and fish & chips for breakfast then watch Rabada give Steve Smith nightmares.
That’s the way to launch a book. A sold out event at Toppings Edinburgh then off to Barony - a seriously good pub- to down pints of local Bellfield and Stewart’s ale and cop an earful of some fab grey beard blues rockers called Pocket Collective. And then back to my hotel- I think

It’s out. My new book - A Vine is a Wild Thing - is published today. And I can’t think of a better place to start my book tour than on the Green in front of Wells’ awesome Cathedral. Next stops - Bristol and Bath and then on to Edinburgh. Yippee!!

Great energy at the Solar and Storage Live Cape Town 2026 Conference!🤩 Thank you to everyone who stopped for a selfie and engaged with me.
Over 1,000MW of independent energy has been added to our grid in just two years. More power means more cost-saving options for municipalities. In Hessequa, Eskom's 9% increase was capped at 7% for residents because the municipality has built its own solar energy plant. And we're not stopping there!
At the end of September, we commissioned the first municipal-owned solar and battery plant in the country. Our wheeling framework has since been adopted nationally.
It’s also exciting to see how many young people want to be part of this growing industry. They are the ones who will benefit most from the work happening now.
Thank you to our Western Cape Energy team, led by Alwie Lester, for their work.🤝

A reason Stellenbosch has a place on the throne of Cape wine. Seasoned by time, brooding and secretive, opening the mind with a kind disposition as layers of iron, cedar, sour-cherry and whiff of tobacco-leaf come to the fore. @KanonkopEstate 1984. @StraussFineWine I shall bid.
