Another reason #cbj make me upset is they are just unwilling to have any creativity in marketing. Why aren't you trying everything to get butts in seats? You're telling me St. Louis can do a Sanrio night but there is no interest in cbus?

The most consistent thing about this team is how inconsistent they are. Watch. On Saturday they going to play a tight game and win against Vegas. Then will drive their lance straight into the dirt against New Jersey #CBJ
I'm not sure I've even going to go to my birthday game next month with how this season is going. That performance is why I only buy secondary market tickets. That performance is why I've never committed to becoming a #CBJ STH despite going on that open house multiple times

This team gives the naysayers all the ammo they need to be negative #cbj
This mentality is why people hate Leafs fans. You're the largest fan base in the league. He team with the highest evaluation but they can't resist pitching themselves as the underdog. I find pompous Habs fans more palatable than this whining.
I love these freaks bc they can't imagine a world outside of being chained to a desk. Yeah we do spend too much isolated from one another, but the cube farm is a library quite place. It's not exactly a place with a ton of social interactions either.

“Attendance issues in the NHL”
Simply quit pricing out the families and lower the costs of food and drink. The attendance will come back.
If I didn't work in the arena district I would be going to fewer CBJ games full stop. I've been to 9 other arenas around the league and I always stay within walking distance for this reason. The only place I failed to do that was at CTC but that place is cursed.

people treat american chinese food a simply bad chinese food, and so the bay area has a huge abundance of """good""" chinese food, ie chinese chinese food
but american chinese food is a distinct culinary tradition that is good on its own distinct merits and is not comparable

The monoculture died and now everyone loves to say "[thing] had no cultural impact." Like brother, nothing has that kinda impact anymore, we're stuck recycling IPs from pre-2010 forever because we have nothing else in common with each other

The fun thing about GenX's and Millennials' reaction to Social Security is that their hatred for Boomers fails to account for the fact that they, too, will benefit tremendously from Social Security and will ALSO receive far more than they paid in.
This is nothing more than right wing slopulism. A wolf in sheeps clothing. It would be a massive mistake for younger left leaning people to forsake the universal nature of programs like Social Security purely our of generation spite.
I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.
