We contend that the #SocialMediaTax and #MobileMoneyTax are detrimental to the creation of employment in especially the private sector and will push many young people not just out of employment but also into destitution, despair and criminality. #ThisTaxMustGo
Aware of our strengths however, we commit to reject these taxes and shall Mobilise, support and participate in any legal actions to ensure that these taxes are reversed. #SocialMediaTax #MobileMoneyTax #ThisTaxMustGo
To that end, we like to appreciate and encourage the young people who have gone ahead to seek redress in court in regard to these taxes.
We commit to support and further these efforts by any possible means. @SilverKayondo @qataharraymond #ThisTaxMustGo
We stand with the young people; who having made it through the cracks of broken education system, are being denied by #SocialMediaTax, an opportunity to widen their exposure, grow their social capital while keeping up to date with current affairs #ThisTaxMustGo
East Africa needs to rethink the regional employment policy. The unemployment levels are alarming.

So again, graduates are blamed for studying Useless/unemployable courses! At what point do the students design/determine the curriculum ? What is the logic in this whole blame game ? - probably a perfect way to escape responsibility

Our resolve to liberate this country from the tyranny of poor governance is not motivated by personal ambition, but by the firm belief that in the end, good triumphs over evil. Whether in chains or free, we choose #CountryBeforeSelf.
And the majority of Ugandans stand with us.
