Throughout the war and genocide period, I was and still am in the field endangering my life to convey the truth and events from the heart of the northern Gaza Strip. I did not leave the square for a moment, and I worked side by side with my fellow journalists; accompanied by the martyr Hossam Shabat and journalist Anas Al-Sharif. During this coverage and harsh stations, My entire home, workplace and city were destroyed in Beit Hanoun, and I tasted the bitterness of displacement multiple. I was bombed more than once and injured, and targeted our tent that we are sheltering to. I lost my most precious thing; a number of my family members were martyred, and I lost my uncle, aunt and loved ones. Despite all this wound, life continued; I got married in the middle of the war, and today God gave me my beautiful child Hossam, who needs security, warmth and care. But the war continues, and the cold and winter are at the doors, and the famine and living conditions in Gaza have reached an unbearable limit. Today, under the suffocating circumstances we have reached, I had to create a link to this campaign to help my family and my child and my wife. I had to take this step in spite of myself after years of steadfastness, and after we experienced the pain in all its details and famine of all kinds and tasted the bitterness of repeated displacement. I never imagined that I would have to ask people for help. But war taught me that man could reach a point where he could not carry everything alone.” I only ask you to help overcome this difficult period and give my family the small amount of security that we have lost since the beginning of this war, and a shelter befitting their dignity.
