she/her, 30's. Came for the Clerith, stayed for the general FF shenanigans and ended up Sefikura as a bonus. Usually gaming or reading too much fanfic.

fic writers crying they're Being Excluded From Communities by ppl sharing their fic i mean you're the ones who lawyered up to get the one (1) person who runs epub converter site fichub to stop making epubs of ao3 fic i think the community will be fine without you if you actually

These people can't seem to understand that you can't ship "wrong". Even ignoring all the clues we've gotten, it's fine to ship something outside canon. Those ships are fun too. It's a lack of imagination and visceral need for validation that makes them rabid

I used to care a lot about stats. I enjoyed the writing process but my favorite part was people patting me on the head and telling me I did a good job. It was all that kept me motivated. I still would be flattered if my work were on a drive. That's basically a recommendation!
Can I just say, fanfic authors from pre pandemic and earlier literally Do Not Give A Fuck.™ Younger/newer authors gameify fanfics because "boohoo statistics, boohoo my kudos". Older gens know writing is for the love of the game who the FUCK cares about your stats.

Either new readers might find my work, or old ones might be pleased to see it again at a time when choices are limited. Those are both good things! We're all just trying to survive without our fictional fixes, and we might as well do it together!

A few days ago, I saw somebody say ao3 was guarding the gates to hell and I gotta say they were absolutely right. Somehow it was holding all this back and we are all worse off, not just for missing our stories.

In a way, I'm not sure if it's comforting or not that this level of crazy is not unique lol but it's interesting that there are apparent similarities. Thanks for sharing!

Well well well, I hope every single person blaming readers sharing their libraries come forward to apologize for insulting their fellow fans who share their fandom spaces and show love to everything they give.

I feel like playing Rebirth but I totally hit a wall and I don't think I can get the 100%...but it hasn't been long enough to start over 😭 I'm so bored guys

I've been seeing so many deranged fandom takes I'm almost missing deranged CT takes. Those were simpler times. I want more FF7 on my tl and less ao3 outage drama

It's hilarious to me that these people are basically saying "I'm taking my ball and going home" and everyone is just shrugging instead of begging them to stay like they are clearly expecting
Cuando AO3 vuelva va a haber una borra masiva de fics por culpa de gente mimada que no entiende que "No" es No

and no explanation about why there were works that weren't even posted yet, why works that were posted anonymously or orphan ones had the author's name. AND why the fuck were they asking for authors to share their email as if they already had the information????
