Some violence again in Paris last night. More of the looting kind than the political kind. Macron speech regarded as weak by all comers. Growing drumbeat to blame Melenchon for Saturday, with some reason. But all helps Le Pen. If the scattered violence continues or intensifies, the Govt will come under pressure to declare a state of emergency. Unlikely in my view. But difficult for Govt to respond to the legitimate demands of students and others because it has no money. And impossible to respond to demands of the violent minority because they have none except 'screw the system'.
