Excellent tweet. This actually applies to most other conspiracy theories too.
My favorite cancer conspiracy on here:
"Big Pharma suppresses cheap cancer cures."
There is no Big Pharma. There are dozens of companies who are competing for the same patients, across a hundred countries with separate regulators.
If a cheap generic cured cancer (all of them, which are dozens of different diseases anyway), any one of them could run the trial and destroy a rival's billion-dollar drug overnight. Thats not happening, though. And it would be great for nationwide health organizations:
The NHS in the UK e.g. would fund the trial tomorrow, because nothing would save it more money instead of paying for immunotherapies.
A conspiracy needs cooperation. This one needs every competitor on earth to refuse free money, forever, in unison. Which nobody will.
So that’s why this conspiracy is used by bad actors to seed mistrust in your health system and promote their own nonsense instead. Thats how they make their money by exploiting the fear of vulnerable people.

The quicker Elon Musk is arrested for election interference, the quicker he can be DENATURALIZED and DEPORTED back to South Africa.

This is a man clearly planning to contest an election that hasn’t even occurred yet while laying the groundwork for doubt+anger. This is a slow motion run at a coup that they will pull off if they think they can. This has never happened before in our country. It must be thwarted.

Why is this South African IMMIGRANT fucker allowed to dismantle entire departments of OUR government, conspire with a wannabe dictator and meddle in OUR cherished elections, when he should be DENATURALIZED and DEPORTED back to Cape Town ASA-fucking-P?

He helped Trump become “president” by manipulating the voting tabulations with his Starlink satellite network. He even bragged about it to his ex-girlfriend Ashley St Claire. It’s all being exposed in the upcoming documentary simply entitled, “Musk.”

Musk helped Trump in the 2024 presidential elections by manipulating the voting results. I hope he’s arrested and stands trial and DEPORTED soon.
Fingers crossed. 🤞🏾

The correct moral economy in responding to Jason Arday’s death -
(1) Compassion.
(2) Your brain tries to make your favourite, maybe correct, political point - STFU, still compassion.
(3) Compassion.
(4) Then, after some time, you can make some points.
(5) Here is one. Autistic people are especially vulnerable to public hounding. One the one hand, there is the childhood trauma of being disliked, misunderstood and dismissed, and the adult experience of a world that doesn’t adjust to you. On the other hand, there is a constitutive, non-environmental hyper sensitivity to criticism and attack. Autistic people are very different from one another, so this is a generalisation.
(6) Here is another. We need to question the proportionality of getting obsessed with the case of a particular academic when bigger political issues are at hand, such as Mr Trump wrecking the world.
(7) But don’t go too far with this - don’t slander legitimate public interest journalism.
(8) Reflect on DEI and how it can go wrong. Don’t exaggerate DEI (only 1/250 Cambridge professors are black). But think about the fault of hyper identity politics, and how it substitutes a pursuit of justice with a corporate veneer of virtue that degrades trust.
(9) Reflect on the institutional failings to scrutinise Jason Arday’s work adequately.
(10) Reflect on the institutional responsibility to support Jason Arday. Cambridge, in my assessment, failed to support him adequately in the final weeks when he was evidently having an existentially terrible time.

Sam Neill (2025): “It’s not a happy place, America, and I wasn’t happy there. I’m interested in the condition of America now. It beggars belief what’s happening there now. When you hear a slogan like Make America Great Again, it makes a sort of weird sense because America could be great again, but at community level. Not with sort of strange billionaires making weird decisions”

Honestly Graham Platner should have run as a Republican — the Nazi tattoo and rape allegation both wouldn’t just have helped him win but also opened a path to being a candidate for President

So the President of the United States is talking about World Cup games being rigged, demanding reviews...slandering officials-this is insane stuff. And we've just become inured to it.
A whole generation is growing up thinking this is normal. That will be hardest to reverse later.

Elon Musk: The psycho trillionaire
Conservatives say Musk’s new trillionaire status hurts no one
Really? He incites race riots. To top that, in an ignorant frenzy he slashed US aid the deaths of hundreds of thousands
How's that for pain?

A single AI data center uses as much electricity as 100,000 households—and utility companies are passing the upgrade costs to you, not to the trillion-dollar tech giants.
I've opened an investigation. These companies need to pay their costs.

The essence of monarchism as an ideology:
(1) the leader has a magical bond with the people
(2) which bypasses institutions
(3) is imbued with permanent emergency powers (there is a bad world that needs fixing)
(4) is perceived as mere common sense, not an ideology
(5) and requires a depoliticised population - the leader’s fans should be passionate about the leader, but not passionate about politics.
