going to try and explain why i still am in awe of the golden age with a story. Sirimongkol killed a man in the ring, most likely from him having ore existing issues and got to fight at bangkok. he was a novice at that point. in a couple years he was the 1 of the best of his era+

Applying this makes sure you’re a step ahead.
Feint -> opponent reacts so you make a read
Step -> opponent has to follow and regain positioning
Shoot -> after seeing many feints his brain will be worn out and the shot will land
Solid advice 👏
Feints work quite well when paired with lateral movement.
Not just feint + shoot.
Not just step + shoot
Rather, feint + step + shoot
= more chance to land.
This way, you overload your opponent’s operating system where its attention is competing between multiple threatening elements.
The more elements you can add into every movement and engagement (before, during, after), the more thinking being forced upon them.
The same way a volume of punches can tire an opponent, so too does a volume of thought.

It’s interesting how the Thai gyms are going more towards a western type style of training in this era.
But the way to stand out in this era would be to return to the way the golden age fighters trained.
Not intensity wise but teaching wise.

The first thing that should be taught and correct in Muay Thai is the stance.
Many gyms bail on that.
And that is where a lot of issues start

Big promotions in Thailand make mismatches on purpose to create crazy KOs.
This could be avoided if you're well prepared.
Save your career and brain at the same time.

Low carb works temporarily.
You lose a lot of weight initially which is mostly water weight anyways.
After you eventually start feeling flat.
Weight loss with carbs is sustainable in the long run.
Increasing carbs while dropping fats in a deficit is smart strategy

Expensive cars, yatchs, etc:
Bullshit for kids with rich parents who get inner value from impressing in front of others.
Bullshit for con artists trying to impress the normies to get their money.
Bullshit for the normies trying to impress women because they don't know any better.
Or, bullshit.
Things worth spending money on:
Your pad, where you live and work. Fitness. Food, drinking, partying (modest), occasional travel. Coaching if you need it. Experience.
Otherwise put the money back into more money creation. Not even for the money - for the power to create more. Higher.

Testosterone, dopamine, hair loss, stress, sleep, fat loss...
Many get sucked into a rabbit hole trying to fix a specific issue.
Truth is they have massive overlap in their root cause. Zoom out, fix the fundamentals, and all of them will improve.

The worst place to train Muay Thai is by far Phuket.
Everything is overpriced, classes are overcrowded.
It’s a place you could go for a holiday but def not to train Muay Thai.
The Thais call Phuket “not real Muay Thai”.
Everything is impermanent.
Your desire to hold it makes you offset with reality, which means you lost it already:
Holding onto things creates blind spots and reactive loops that GUARANTEE that what you're trying to hold crumbles into NOTHING, as you can't adapt as reality throws curveballs - and it will.

Yep, you'll hear this in every Muay Thai gym by a coach at least once a day “Fighting heart is the most important thing.”

What big promotion is the best to fight for in Thailand?
Well, it depends on a number of things.
Obviously, preference is one part.
But what about the others?
How are their contracts structured?

The difference between a winner & loser is their standards & criteria they have for themselves.
Even men who were dirt broke, thought they deserved it all before they got it.
You'll make it purely if you are disgusted by low quality people, things & experiences.
