For anyone (again) scared about AI capabilities: this completely forgets to say "claude copy pasted codepen.io/simeydotme/pen/ab… and made me believe it one shotted it". This is somewhat classic, same happened to me a few days ago working on SIMD, I was bluffed by an algo claud "one shotted", turns out asking where its from usually has a human-made source. They don't generalize, they summarize and they don't credit the authors. Before @claudeai does fucking watermarking they should do "crediting" the actual source.
I gave this video to gpt 5.6 Sol, asked it create a diffraction grating shader in @threejs. It took quite a few rounds but here it is

I just checked the calendar. My LLM fans are you done with your work for this year? Let’s assume just 2x increase in productivity. Is windows finally usable now? What’s up with Spotify’s 4000 PRs per week. Is that app better in any way? Where are all the gains from AI?

The year of Superluminal on the Linux desktop is finally here! It has been a huge undertaking, way, way (way) bigger than we ever expected, so I'm super excited to finally release this to the wild. Really curious to see how well this works outside of our relatively small group. Please give it a try and let us know how it works for you!

We're finally bringing our powerful and user friendly CPU profiler to Linux! The beta version is now publically available, and it's free for 60 days during the open beta, so there's really no excuse not to try it out! Just download, extract, optimize. superluminal.eu/applications…

There is no demand for huge quantities of slop. More commits / LOC / PRs does not equate to more valuable productivity. Users want fewer, but better, programs.
Massive output uptick due to agentic AI. Complete flat adoption.

I don’t know if i believe this ā€œI am not blocked by typing speedā€ discourse. If you cared about that you’d be in neovim but here you are chugging along in vscode

sent this to the team today everything great comes from being able to delay gratification for as long as possible and it feels like we're collectively losing our ability to do that

everyone's talking about their teams like they were at the peak of efficiency and bottlenecked by ability to produce code here's what things actually look like - your org rarely has good ideas. ideas being expensive to implement was actually helping - majority of workers have no reason to be super motivated, they want to do their 9-5 and get back to their life - they're not using AI to be 10x more effective they're using it to churn out their tasks with less energy spend - the 2 people on your team that actually tried are now flattened by the slop code everyone is producing, they will quit soon - even when you produce work faster you're still bottlenecked by bureaucracy and the dozen other realities of shipping something real - your CFO is like what do you mean each engineer now costs $2000 extra per month in LLM bills
